Ha ha OK. I saw that the preview is in place of the catalog this year. Hopefully we can see more than what was in the video as there were only 3 things I want. Again, the sales they had and that other stores are having are so good my budget for the year went there instead.

This happened to me with a Jenni Kayne sweater. I ordered it, then ordered it again when it dropped in price and returned the first more expensive one (which was unworn). They refunded me the cheaper amount! WTF! I had to explain the situation to CS and they did fix it but I got a major scolding and was told to never use returns to "get around" the pricing. It was bizarre and very un-Nordstrom-like. I was like "so you're basically saying that I can't return a sweater that I bought a week ago and have not worn?" and the answer is.... yes, you can't return things in order to get the same thing cheaper. if you do so, it is "up to their discretion" whether to let you do it. Ugh.

If that's the case, they should be more liberal with their price adjustment policy. But retail has been struggling, so...

Thank you for the video sneak peek!! I feel like a negative nancy but man that was horrible!! I think I'll get moroccan oil and another barefoot dreams blanket... I'm not sure if I'm getting more picky as time goes on, or if it truly is the quality of designs that is lacking. Very excited to see it all during preview, especially the YSL bag but everything is pretty much a snooze.

I'm sure that wasn't everything, at least i hope not... that would be a sad sad sale. I asked a sales person about this years catalog and she said she didn't believe they were doing one becuase of the sneek peak and the abality to add to your wish list immediately. She said they were starting to get items in her location.

Thanks for posting that preview video @lakeshow I didn’t really see much that I want outside of the T3 brushes lol. I’ve been looking for a new paddle brush and I like the look of the vented brush too. I expect to see a huge home focus since everyone is at home, but I don’t know if the sale prices will be good enough to really generate sales. The handbag selection was disappointing I hope that there’s more to it than that. The shoe weren’t exciting either. I felt like a lot of it is plain with a bit of leopard splashed in there.

That's terrible! I will make sure I see how much I am credited back.

I've done the "just buy it again and return the first one" when they were being ridiculous about a price adjustment. So odd they were even able to return the 2nd cheaper item if you gave them the receipt or the little sticker on the tag of the 1st more expensive one. I don't know how they could even tell someone bought it again, unless no receipt and just looking up by credit card.

Same thing happened to me - returned by mail and was very careful to include the order with the higher amounts and they refunded against the lower amount order. Had to spend sooo much time with customer service sorting it out. Awful really.

Terrible to hear, but when they scan the little nordstrom sticky with the bar code on tag, shouldn't the price purchased be shown on screen? I just did a return in person today and didnt have any issues with the higher price. Asking for price adjustment can sometimes be more of a hassle than just rebuying.

Hi everyone! I am excited to be with you all - my summer Nordstrom discussion group - even though I am kinda "meh" about the sale. I too have bought so much 70% off stuff in the past couple months, it's hard to imagine getting excited about 30% off. lol. I do love the daily excitements and discussion here though, so I will be HERE!

The catalog this year is super lame. I couldn't find a single thing I wanted.

I lived for those 70% deals when they were happening. Almost tempted to add reveals to this thread so we can collectively enjoy the bargains, but I will stay on topic.

If they use their internal sticker tag either on the label or the bag they’ll refund whatever price that tag pops up. So if you return the lower priced item with the receipt for the higher priced one they’ll refund the lower price because that’s what will pop up when they scan their internal barcode. They scan that tag first then the real UPC when they ring up orders. So save the other tags if you’re doing that so it will be linked to the higher price you paid.

Yes if I had had a sticker, I assume it would have refunded the higher price automatically, but I was returning by mail. Even though I clearly wrote the order number with higher price on the return form, they refunded the cheaper sweater from my later order. They must see my whole purchase history pop up at once when they do the mail online returns or something. Supes annoying!

Edited to add - I did not return the cheaper one. I physically returned the higher priced sweater with the higher priced receipt. Nothing I sent back had anything to do with the new cheaper one. They just KNEW. Nordstrom big brother man. I'm tellin ya!
lol

I know. This spring was an excellent time to discover Jenni Kayne.... so many 70% off gorgeous sweaters. Aaaaah. I now am wearing sweaters all summer as I work from home :)
