Does anyone have an SA they recommend for the Nordstrom at Topanga (Los Angeles)?

I’d love to see if some items could be pulled for me ahead of time. I’m already booked up with meetings around the time the online early sale starts on Friday, and I’d hate to miss out on some things just because I’m a working woman!

Does anyone know if we need anything special to shop the in-store preshop? I haven't received anything in the mail.

I called my local store I’ll be shopping at tomorrow for the Icon Pre Shop and they told me that that wristbands were sent out and there would be a check in station on the first floor. I very recently became an icon so I don’t have the wristband, so I was told they would look up my status and give me a wristband at the store.

But each store may be different? I think I read some people received cards to gain access?
Just thinking out , I’ve been an Ambassador for awhile and never received anything for the sale for that level. Wondering if wristbands will be needed on the 10th for Ambassadors?

Geez. I’m an icon and I didn’t get anything—no catalogue, no card, no wristband. Nada. If my SA hadn’t texted me for an apt I wouldn’t even know it was that time already. It’s insane.

In all honesty, overpriced. His new "emotionproof" mascara was a travesty--dry as hell on the first use! and most definitely not "emotionproof." I like his blush but not enough to spend that much money--I have Colourpop ones that are as good or better. And his shadows while lovely do not have the pigmentation and impact that a $80 quad should have!

My mom wears a lot of his stuff. She does not like his foundation but she loves his lipsticks and usually carries like four with her at all times. She wears his eye palettes too and likes them, but I think she's going back into her Chanel phase. I bought two years ago from Sephora his overpriced summer palette and it was okay. I think I liked the packaging more than anything else. I have one of his lipsticks and I used to wear it a lot, but unfortunately I have Invisalign now and pretty much every lip product but lip tints get on them, so no more lipstick for me. I think it is overpriced and I don't particularly care for supporting a guy who hates my body type, but my mother has the opposite view and wears whatever she wants.

I have an appointment on Wednesday and never received a wristband. I wonder if my personal shopper will give me one or I won't need one because I'll be with her? I also didn't receive a catalog, so don't feel bad about that. Are you shopping with someone or just walking around yourself? If by yourself, see if you can get approval to pool your purchases at the end so you can do one mass purchase and weed out what you don't want, otherwise they will make you buy as you go.

Same here! I was Ambassador just until recently, and currently icon, and didn’t receive a thing regarding the sale. I’ve just found all the info on my own by calling customer service and this thread. I had no idea I was even eligible for the Pre Shop last week either , I just happened to log in and see the link was active for the presale.

I had even spoken to CS prior to it and they told me I wasn’t eligible bc only a select number were chosen & I wasn’t amongst them! Just pretty sloppy on nords part honestly.

Thanks for the info! I didn’t make an appt, I was just going to pop in on my own. That’s a great idea, I’ll ask about pool them all. Every year I buy as I go and Schlep a bunch of bags around with me or make trips to my car lol
Would be nice to just do one mass purchase at the very end!

I did not get anything in the mail but my Nordstrom card is only for Icons AND I have an appt with my SA tomorrow. I am sure they can look it up. Also they all recognize me there so I am not too worried.

Thanks for the tips. I'm not a big makeup girl however I thought it's a sale I can try something a little higher end however I want it to be worth it sale or not.

Also has anyone else had the worst time getting their Nord CC linked to the Nordy Club? Mine doesn’t recognize my card number when I try to join the club but I’m not sure if it matters since I always pay with my Nord card. Like many others on this thread I’ve not had good experiences contacting customer service in the past year...

Yes!!! When the Nordy Club first ‘launched’ I had the absolute worst experience getting my account and credit card linked. I had multiple phone calls with CS and spent 3 or 4 hours (possibly more, I honestly lost count) on the phone trying to get it sorted out. Every time I called they would tell me, “our system shows you as being a member of the Nordy Club already” but it wouldn’t appear when I logged into the website or app. When I logged into the credit card website, it showed I was part of the Nordy Club, but my actual Nordstrom account would not show my points, notes, etc.

They had me repeatedly go through the same steps, fill out the same form, transfer me to IT... By my final phone call, I started to lose it and flat out told the rep that I knew it wasn’t their fault, but I was so frustrated that if my phone still had AppleCare+ I would throw it against the wall—as hard as I could—for the sheer satisfaction of watching it shatter into pieces! It was, by far, the single most infuriating customer support experience ever, and not for a lack of trying on their part. They just had no idea what was wrong.

In the end I gave up. They said they would have someone contact me after they looked into the problem more, but they never did. I ended up getting it sorted out by, of all things, using the link on the Nordy Club page where you enter your phone number. I don’t know why but that seemed to fix it. It was months ago though so your problem may be totally different. At the time I was apparently the only Nordstrom card holder in the world having this particular issue, if their response is to be believed.

Sorry for the long rant, I had mostly repressed the memories of that until you mentioned it and I got all fired up just thinking about it again!
