Why would I waste my time going to a store? There is so much more offered online, and it is terribly inconvenient for me to get to a store. All this does is push the online chaos to July 11.

They should allow those with status to have exclusive online shopping opportunities, then open to the rest.

Agree. I used to love back in the day when there were donuts and coffee and stores opened at 7am and I’d get up and out of the house before everyone woke up (back home by 9:30 with twenty bags).
Now this doesn’t happen at all (at least not at my stores.... no early opening... no donuts), and instead the fun experience that I look forward to is sitting online with you lovely ladies from 11:45pm-midnight zinging silly excited messages at the speed of light to keep busy and then seeing “ready GO!” At midnight with lots of emojis. Then of course there’s a 15-20 min quiet period followed by everyone back to either report on their loot (west coast people) or say goodnight (everyone else).
LOOKING FORWARD TO JULY 10th late night!!!!

I feel like I missed the majic days of shopping. Early hours and no one else...wow! Last year I did go to the store on Sat morning when it opened earlier during the card holder time frame but no donuts or coffee not even a water was offered.

AAahhhhhhhh!!! I forgot when they would open early!!! I would pop in on my way to the office, then admire my loot for the day :angel:

I saw on another website this same information with the exception that on the 11th online opens for Icon and Ambassador and everyone else on the 12th.

Inconvenient for me as well. Many of us don't live close to stores.

I apologize in advance b/c this is a bit of a tease since I have a horrible memory, but if you have an SA that you use and can get to a store, I would suggest asking them about the Anniversary Sale. I was just at my local store in the beauty area, and wasn't with an SA that I've even met before, but we seemed to have a good rapport so I mentioned I was excited for the Anniversary Sale. She promptly walked me over to the Beauty concierge and pulled out the beauty lookbook. We went through it quickly so I didn't get to see everything and the pictures and wording were really small, although I will say that nothing really stood out from what I did see - mostly the same as past years - but apparently the SAs already have access and are willing to share. :biggrin:

This is what I do remember: a Bobbi Brown oil cleanser, moisturizer and eye cream set. A Tom Ford lip set (can't remember if it was 3 or 4 lipsticks, the white packaged ones). Also Tom Ford, two shimmery oil looking bottles for $79. A silver SimpleHuman mirror for $150, normally $250 - it looked like a cross between the 8" Sensor and the 8" Multi Magnification Sensor (the $250 original price isn't right to be either one). There are Jo Malone sets - minis, candles, and either a body wash/lotion or shampoo/conditioner set. Voluspa 2 wick candle sets, of course lol. ;) A 3 piece Living Proof set, a couple Oribe sets. Sorry, I know this isn't too helpful since I don't know the specific products, but...it's something at least?

I booked my appointment with my SA for the 9th, but honestly I don't think early access matters that much...I've been feeling that in recent years the sale has become more and more of a...I hesitate to say let down but I don't know, just that it's not that special. A lot of the stuff if you are on the look out & be patient throughout the year you can eventually find on sale here and there.

In any case, I'm still going to go check it out. At this stage I'm actually kind of hoping for them to screw things up and award a 10x pt day lol, that is much more enticing to me than the actual sale nowadays (since I really have nothing I need to buy).

It's been awhile since I've really shopped the Anniversary Sale, I really don't see much at Nordstrom at all anymore, I do purchase at the Rack here and there but way less than the past, they just don't have as much merchandise and most is not from the full line store anymore, maybe I just have a lot more stuff now too so less drive to buy. I'll still check out the Anniversary Sale but I'm not as hyped about it like the past.
