Nicole Kidman to Play Gretchen Carlson in Roger Ailes Movie
Charlize Theron is attached to star as Megyn Kelly in the Annapurna movie from Jay Roach.
Nicole Kidman is in talks to play former Fox News anchor Gretchen Carlson in Annapurna's untitled movie about the women of Fox News, joining Charlize Theron, who is attached to star as Megyn Kelly.

The studio, which is already making a Dick Cheney biopic with helmer Adam McKay, is financing and producing the project that was written by The Big Short scribe Charles Randolph and will be directed by Jay Roach.

Theron will produce the feature along with Beth Kono and AJ Dix via their Denver & Delilah banner. Roach, Randolph and Margaret Riley are also producing.

Roger Ailes ran Fox News and helped launch the careers of Kelly, Carlson and Sean Hannity with his powerful channel. He also was a prominent figure in ********** circles that helped elect presidents Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush. Ailes was forced to resign in 2016 when a host of accusations of sexual misconduct surfaced, with Carlson's and Kelly’s the most high-profile, and which contributed to his exit from the network.

The untitled project is described as an ensemble pic, with Ailes and others who were involved at Fox News during his reign said to be major players in the piece. Characters included are likely to be Carlson, former anchor Greta Van Susteren, media mogul Rupert Murdoch and fired host Bill O'Reilly.

Kidman will soon be seen in another Annapurna project — Karyn Kusama's Destroyer. She is also set for Warner Bros.' Aquaman, the Goldfinch adaptation and Focus Features' Boy Erased. She is repped by CAA, Australia's Shanahan, Media Talent Group and Jackoway Austen.

I remember her saying once that when you see her with perfect curls, it's because her hair was straightened first then curled. Her own "natural" curls don't cut it!

It's also because she's older and she has a lot of grey, which tends to be more coarse and doesn't hold colour as well. Lots of factors at play.

You can see the grey here and it was 2008.

I think i saw that interview, or read it. That her own curls were gone. I saw this pic of her last year and this is when I started to really see the hair damage. Hairdressers on sets can work magic with wigs, extensions and so on. She looks beautiful in many recent pics, but her natural pics like this one show the reality. Lots of women, even young ones like Arianna Grande, talk openly about how acting damages hair. In Kidman's case her age is also a factor I'd assume.

I do like this particular hairstyle on her. The length is youthful, meanwhile the bangs can be very forgiving. Color-wise, I'd say just go the least harsh color. Perhaps a little blond to blend in the grey. I wish people wouldn't be so harsh on her hair because hair is confidence for a woman. Who doesn't want PERFECT hair, but some of us don't have it.

Grey hairs have a life of their own. I'm shocked at how coarse mine is. It behaves somewhat but it's a game changer to suddenly have a lot of them to deal with.

I agree, she needs deeper toned colors to highlight her complexion. I'm sure blonde is easier but it doesn't do her skintone justice. She was really beautiful in Practical Magic, so was Sandy. A lot of good hair in that movie.
