Isn't that sad, the other day my I was reminiscing with my bestie, We started talking about high school and songs popular back then came up. I brought up "From the Windows to the walls", when we started thinking about the lyrics:shocked:. I was just shaking my head like what the hell where we thinking, it's so vile. It's still happeneing today, my little cousin has a major crush on the "New Boyz" and she's always playing "You ain't gonna tie me down". I asked her if she's listened to the lyrics, she's like "yeah I know them by heart". I'm like "I didn't ask you if you could recite them, I want to know if you've actually listened to the lyrics and processed what these boys are actually saying". The whole thing is just so very sad.

skeet skeet...
yeah, i just mainly love the beat on most songs these days...a lot of them are like :nogood::shocked:

Well, for me, the problem is how God d*mn angry and spiteful the lyrics are. Like, who talks about how "haters" are just jealous and this or that more than rappers? Yet, ALL of the songs are "I'm better than YOU, in EVERY way, you should just end it all now, due to my GREATNESS! You are awful, and your soul is dog s***!" and it's like, Whoa! Son, you know that every track can't be a diss record against your fans, right? When you just let off a completely anonymous diss, seemingly directed at no one, saying this like "I've got more money than you could dream of, you ugly broke b****"...

Who buys your s***? I betting it's not Bill Gates waiting in line to buy your CD, or downloading your song.

Make some respectable, bangable music, and STOP talking about non-existent "haters" on EVERY single cut, it just makes you look like you have no respect for your fans and you come across as lazy. Rappers come across as the biggest "haters" in the WORLD, and the pseudo-drama it creates has somehow replaced having to actually slap some lyrics together.

Nicki is a repeat offender in this regard, but still.

Really, it's a matter of why the public enjoys paying to be told they suck.

Whatever....

Okay, I'm done now. :amuse:

ETA: Oh, silly me, there's also loads about getting drunk in the club and vague references to banging (as in sex). :p WU-TANG!

ETAA: And when I say vague, I mean like "Sex Room". And it's never "Oh, girl, you and I are both into it, let's f***, here's what we/'ll do/did" it's "I plied her with a s***-ton of liquor, and I'm going to change the lyrics around from verse to verse saying she's a college student, or she might be a stripper, and I may or may not pay her, or she might be too proud too take it, or she'll pay me, and we go up to our sex emporium" <----- notice how little sex was actually in that "Raunchy jam".

As much as everyone loves Trey Songz...I still don't see it. I can see where he comes off slighty R. Kelly issue but I used to LOVE LOVE LOVE (and I'd drop my panties for)........GINUWINE!

I used to LOVE me some Ginuwine but musically he no longer does anything for me. He's still fine as hell though.

People are always comparing Trey to R Kelly and I def see it. Trey said that he's one of his idols (musically) so I expect to get an R Kelly vibe from his music.

Really? I can listen to Pony more than once a day...just the beat was so....i need to stop....

Oh, I love his older music, I was referring to the album he released last yr. "Anxious", "Differences", "Pony" and "Stingy" are some of my favs from him. I have quite a few of his old songs my ipod.

Him and Sole have 6 kids don't they? I remember reading about it somewhere. I remember two of their names....Dream and Story...or something like that.
