I am thinking they are targeting clients who don't have recent purchase history. I made numerous FP purchases this year including some from the Basquiat collection. Not going to lie I definitely felt a little annoyed to not got an email invite. Oh well guess this is a sign to start exploring other brands and only shop Coach during SAS when it benefits my pockets more.
It can't be those who don't have recent purchase history as I have purchased from Coach site's sale a few times this summer and my SA said I am on the list. I finally got the email last night as she contacted me 3 days ago, but I had not seen the email yet at that time.

Yeah whatever algorithm they used is excluding a lot of customers who would buy. Oh well, not a big deal I am sure if I wanted it my SA would offer it to me. But it's probably timely I didn't get invited as I am looking to explore other brands and downsize my Coach collection anyway.

According to the store I shop at yes its by invite only. I don't know if things open up after a week or if its a closed invite sale for the duration. Doesn't make sense!!!!!

Coach rarely makes sense I find .. lol. They probably miss my money .. I haven't bought anything other than food/household items since I left work in March d/t the pandemic.

Well i found what I was looking for from poshmark hahahaha, nwt and cheaper than the sale so I am good now :P , if they want to attract more $$ an invite only sale its silly, i spend quite a bit during SAS but mostly in slgs and ready to wear because I am in a bag ban , still clothes aren't cheap so I am kind of surprise about this selective sale, all good tho

Yeah, I haven't seen anything in my e-mail either, and I was a regular, faithful customer up until the pandemic hit (and I've started purchasing more lately, even).
Same here. My husband got the invite and he never shops there. I think I signed him up years ago so I could get back into FOS. He gets outlet emails too. I get nothing. I guess that tells you all you need to know about loyalty. My one SA would always tell me about these sales, my current SA told me one was coming, but then crickets. I'm sure she would honor it if I asked, but why should I have to ask?

That is exactly how I have always felt. I had a store, that is no longer open, that would always make me feel like "oh we need to check the list" as if assuming I wasn't on there, even when I was. I always felt like, do you want sales or just to make people feel like they aren't welcome? And I never would want to ask them if they could do the discount, and as you said, why should you have to ask. Why limit sales to none versus someone buying items for the same sale price a few others can get. Dumb.
