Next PCE? Anyone knows when?

The September PCE didn't include 1941 items, so it'll likely be the same for Black Friday.
I just found out that 1941 bags will not be included in the next PCE on Friday. I feel like Coach is being so greedy that it is turning me off completely. Originally, a lot of SA's thought that 1941 bags would be included, but they just found out that they will not be. Meanwhile, so many customers want to buy rogues for themselves or as gifts for the holidays. Coach could make a fortune if they included them, but I guess they don't care if they drive away customers by never including them in promotions.:(

This isn't surprising. My SA told me not to expect 1941 to be included in sales, just the way it is. The company has every right to include/exclude whatever they choose to go on sale, and they discount the majority of their bags one way or the other. I don't think you can call that greedy?!

OK, couple questions. Is there a PCE on Friday? If so, do you know how much it will be?

I agree with this. It's all bottomline money that they loose by including these. They are running a business.

I was told nov 19.

(Though this might be one that starts as pce then goes public, in which case maybe it would be a day or two earlier for those on the "actual pce list"?)

Would they really lose money by including them? You have to wonder how many are being sold now vs. how many they would sell if they were included. I have a feeling the quantity of bags sold would more than make up for the price cut.

That is EXACTLY what I thought. My SA said she had several customers who were holding out for the promotion to either buy a Rogue as a gift or for themselves so they are losing all of those multiple sales in a crunched timeframe due to the restrictions. Although they need the business, they must not need it that bad.

I think you are not adding in the value of the brand. Coach, while not a super high end luxury brand, is an "affordable" Luxury brand. If you go through Coach's investor reports, they make most of their money from the outlets. Keeping the brand somewhat exclusive is what lets them sell more in the long run. Not putting the Rogue in the sale makes it exclusive, special, etc and builds the brand.

And the fact, you are on onlne forum talking about the fact, Coach is being exclusive helps their brand. ;)

How much would you pay for the Rogue if it was the same exact bag without the Coach name?

That would be to me while they don't include the Rogue or have sent them to the outlets yet.

I do notice that some department stores carry the rogues though and they notoriously have sales around or after the holidays, which means they will likely be discounted. I wonder how that affects the value of the Coach name. They don't have all of the colors though, like Coach retail.

So, i heard, but no idea if it's true, Coach has grumbled about this channel conflicted for a while. There was some post that said, coach was going to pull out of department stores because of this. I don't believe it. It's to big a revenue stream for them.

Nordstroms has the red Rogue, when is the after Christmas sale.

It's usually between Christmas and New Year's.

I actually think the Rogue is a fantastic bag hampered by its brand name. Were this bag a different brand, say Chloe or something else, its success would have been much much bigger.

To say that Coach is somewhat seen as exclusive is a subjective statement at best. I think Loewe or Lanvin as exclusive brands. Certainly not Coach where there is a retailer that carries them in every corner.

Business wise, I think its a mistake to leave the Rogue out of those promotions. People expect sales when they see the name Coach. Which is why several people here have said they will wait for dept. store sales to buy their bags, as opposed to doing so straight from Coach, eliminating the middle man which is what Coach ultimately wants.
