If they want to record strong sales between TG and Christmas, that's what they need to do. Blow it out-give me a reason to walk into fp and be tempted by fp merchandise before I head to that SAS area!
Aha, now I'm all caught up - thank you! Through the years, my Coach bags have come from Holt Renfrew (until they stopped carrying the brand) and now, The Bay department store. But yes, I got one of those Spend $xxx and receive $xxx off which is what Holt Renfrew does as well; or the 25% off one. I rarely buy directly from Coach boutiques but yes, I started to last year I think? They can't compete with The Bay VIP FF promos though, can't see how?
Sadly for me, the handful of new SV Coach bags that I want are not being shipped to Canada unless I order them! Murphy's Law!
I have the red nubuck Rhyder 33 on order and it will arrive Sept 30. I know it's sold out for North America and the best she can do for clients now is put them on a Wait List Backorder. Having said this, the baby blue pebbled leather Rhyder 33 has arrived in Canada but I'm not pursuing that one.
I am pursuing the Gramercy bags and what do you know? THOSE are not being shipped to Canada either!? I have to order sight unseen. Of course, I can return once it arrives if I don't love it. With the jacked up prices, more than ever, I do want 25% with old pricing in CAD same as USD msrp, it really wasn't so bad. Sorry to ramble - this is nothing new to fans of Coach...

I concur. Coach is not doing well. If they want people to shop they need to give them a reason to do so. If we stick to our guns and don't buy the new Stuart Vevers bags they will have to rethink the new model and bring back the PCE even on a limited version. It is basically the law of supply and demand. If they are not moving the merchandise they will need to lower the prices/ give a discount
I don't know what Coach executives will decide as it pertains to PCE. What I do know is that if the product is
not moving they will have to rethink their new business model. If we boycott and don't buy from Coach
we will force their hand. It may take a year or more but they will make a change if their sales are not good.
They have to show a profit to their shareholders.
Macy's will have a Friends and a Family sale right around Thanksgiving time. I expect a lot of people will shop
there instead of their full price Coach Store.

Yes, Nordstrom carries Coach... though lately the Coach has been relegated to two shelves on the back wall. (At least in my Nordstrom in Minnesota~~)
The last two times I have been to Nordstrom and asked about Coach... meaning the new bags... the SA tells me that "Coach has a new designer and we are waiting to get the new line."
WHAT??? Both FP Coach and Macys, which are in the same mall, have the new line!!!!
I am wondering if Nordstrom is getting rid of Coach but yet nothing is on sale.

Is Kate Spade doing PCE card events or do you just mean Friends and Family? they have been doing those for a while but I notice less frequently. Belk, a department store in the southeast, just doubled the size of their Michael Kors dept. And will be having their Charity Sale in Nov which includes Coach. And I just bought a MK bag with Macy's designer sale and a Coach with Lord and Taylors F&F sale. Execs re-evaluate and make changes each fiscal year. I think it is possible if there is a large enough dip in sales that they will rethink this and bring back PCE next fiscal year. The hit has to be hard enough though.
