Circling back after our trip to report back that I did indeed get the newspaper saddle while in Paris! Typos and all—ha ha. And a cloud blue Lady Dior pouch (and a scarf, not pictured). Thanks again to everyone in this forum for your knowledge and support. We also visited the Dior museum and had lunch in the 30 Montaigne boutique. I even managed to get the shopping bag and boxes home in my suitcases without too much damage. 💜

Stunning! Does the cloud blue color pull very gray in person??

Is the cream bag a Longchamp? If so, can you tell me the name of the bag?
Yes. I impulsively bought it at the Longchamp store at CDG on the way home. Le Roseau M shoulder bag in Paper. It has a single removable shoulder strap (you could attach some other strap if you wanted). I had been eyeing the Celadon color in other sizes and styles in a store a few days earlier. That color is gorgeous. They didn’t have all the colors in this size at the airport, but there are some fun choices. The smaller sizes have crossbody options.

Can you send me pictures of your Le Roseau? I looked up the celadon color and it is nice! I like the style of the medium best but crossbody would be nice.

I cancelled my order because I was scared how it'd look on me. It's glorious but I was afraid it wouldn't pop on me. Frankly patent red still does the better job. I love looking at this bag but wearing it is another animal. I see original poster did the same. Tough choice. I love my SatC days and THE dress as well.

The newspaper saddle is always available on the UK website now. Is it the same situation worldwide? Or does the UK just have extra stock?
It’s not available in the U.S. as far as I can tell. France it is on the website and in some stores. I had to request it in advance to be sure it would be in the boutique when I visited.

I was offered the only newspaper saddle that came into my store (and has since as far as I am aware) by my SA. I was not really a fan of the saddle bag before, but this one is just an absolute ICON to me and a must have. I love it. I love how the bag has texture where the writing is as if its an actual newspaper, colored as if its slightly aged. The text does repeat in parts but, even if it gets cut off due to the bag's shape, it tells stories, e.g. of how the New York fashion scene flourished with the advent of the sewing machine, making copies of Parisian styles, which was an asset for haute couture... I noticed a typo on mine and just assumed it was deliberate as they do slip into newspapers from time to time. I tend to stick to a mainly black or white outfit when I wear it so it stands out.

My SA offered me this after I had inquired once after reading thread here but I ended up passing on it. Looks so great on you! Congrats on an iconic bag!

I love this bag and tried it on but I don’t think I’m fashionable enough for it. It’s like that cool ageless girl bag like Carrie from SATC.
I think you're selling yourself short.... I'm sure you can pull off anything you desire!

It's very easy to style if you wear a lot of black  Like @stacy_natalie, I'm sure you can pull it off!

My personal favorite use of it so far is at breakfast on vacation. While others are reading the New York Times, I'm reading my Saddle Bag
