I am 40 now and just got the bag, I did the pre order with my SA to make sure I got it as this for me is an icon. I already have a yellow saddle bag which I love (wore it to a concert last night and is actually more practical than I initially thought).
But the newspaper print is iconic and since I couldn’t get the original. Love the embossed print, the texture in the leather gives it such a nice vibe. I initially thought the same about the black longer strap but when I saw it someone I think it works.
I picked it up on Thursday and can’t wait to wear it.

Huge congratulations. Honesty, I think the Saddles are better made now (I have an original)

I just received my pre-order Newspaper Saddle and it's stunning. Heard it's waitlist only for this bag, but I take that with a grain of salt. I didn't want to risk missing out on it, so I made sure I could grab it while I can. I'm over 40 and I have 3 saddle bags--I wear them for girls nights out and casual dinner events. In my opinion, they make an outfit more fun and edgy!

oh fabulous congrats. I heard the same. my SA said they have a client that wanted to pay full and they couldn't guarantee. she said my shop would get 2 bags on top of the pre orders, so i think all stores will get some but seems there will be a lot of interest.
is my second saddle and i also absolutely love it.

This newspaper saddle is so gorgeous and so unique!! Congrats to everyone who decided to buy one. In the EU they’re in stock pretty everywhere - if only it had silver hw ;)

I’m definietely not in my twenties, and I’m also looking into my first „standard” Saddle. I’ve had soft saddle from men’s collection for a few years, and it’s one od my favourites bags. Age is just a number! It doesn’t matter at all!

But for future reference, and for anyone else wondering, I say if you love something, have it and wear it with pride! I’m 50 and recently bought this vintage saddle bag which I’ve always loved. It’s very bold and very much a statement and probably far too much for someone my age, but I’m past caring what may or may not be appropriate. I love it and I rock it lol. So never worry about what anyone else might think. Life’s too short!:smile:

I agree 100%. I am also 50 and would rock this or anything else I liked and felt like carrying. Congrats on this unique bag and enjoy!

I’m hoping to get everyone’s advice. My best friend is going to Paris in July. I’m interested in this bag and it’s ~$1k less there compared to the US. Any chance that it’d still be available then? Or should I just suck it up and buy it now in the US?
