Lots of enamels but repeating patterns, at the end the put out a huge jige in navy box and white stitching, $680, so tempted but cooler heads prevailed.

Huge scarf selection, huge selection of leather belts, tons of Kelly caleche perfume, all the things I already have.

Best part was Brooke shields, girl likes her bargains too

plus some if the male sa's were suggesting to each other to buy the saddles, you know, for some fun on the "home range"...

What did she buy? Just out of curiosity.....:p

Funny - I saw her too... don't know what she got but she left her asst. to stand in the long line and departed. :)

Scarf selection was great, I thought. I missed out on the cashmere. Darn.

Lots & lots of fragrance box sets as Olive said....

Someone asked about the price on the Bombays - the large that I looked at was 2250. They varied...Black was priced higher for a smaller bag if I recall.

Must be nice to be able to do that

Hi Olive, it was good to see you in line. I got the rose indien (fuchsia) Marwari CS GM and framboise Clefs CS GM and tons of scarves from friends' wishlists and twilly, gavroche and various scarf rings. Two trips separated by lunch yielded only one mistake (buying two of the same twill, argh!). 880 tried her best to take me down the bag slope, but she did not prevail, this time. Your Wall Street color guru :winkiss:

At the end of the day they put back a raisin box dalvy with phw and it was only about 2k...gorgeous but not really me...raisin. box.....sale....

Plenty plenty of china

shoes were ech...nothing to write home about

lots of office desk totchkes

only other vibrato besides the canoe was one brown large vespa

lots of ostrich Kelly ado's, mini croc bolides (cosmetic bag size)

pear and orange coin pouches

lots of regular wallets that I've never seen on sale

heard ladies behind the bag counter being admonished fir doing their own "shopping" so now I know where all the good bags went

I didn't see Brooke too interested in anything

best part was bumping in "unexpectedly" to people I know and like....

I thought Brooke looked lovely and sweet; other star sighting was Rachel Griffiths just a couple people in front of Brooke's assistant. Good times, good gets.

Nice seeing you as well, you and A looked "satisfied" by the time I arrived....

Brooke was very polite to the salespeople, down to earth

I always leave those sales so mind cloudy, dinner with a few frends afterwards and my most inspired words were "d'uh"

Hopefully they will have more enamels in the 65cm size. As Olive said, most were 70cm. The SLG section was quite good this year, everything was in great shape and lots of good coin purses, smaller bearns, and large dogons. Honestly, the best part of the day was hanging with a friend that I have not seen in a bit and seeing JP824, 880 and Olive!! This is the first time that I did not get much. I only got a few ties for DH and some Kelly en Caleche for myself. No blankets like last year and no shawls by the time I got there. Shoes, which are a major weakness of mine were not great, but there was a pair like the violet/moka ones I got last season...but in a red croc and black suede, in a size that would fit a regular size 39.5, but it's not a size 39.5 It's always fun to go to the H sale. Funny, but many at the private sale recognized each other from the last sales.
