Thanks for the insight! WG MOP 20 is def my next purchase. Actually I never really liked long necklaces before I saw the 20 motif on a white shirt. I preferred to buy pendants but for me the biggest problem is putting jewelry on before leaving and I actually wear my pave sweets now 24/7. This is really weird for someone like me because I never wore my jewelry, I always took it off before sleeping (they were gold pieces but I always felt bothered by jewelry for some reason) and then didn’t wear for 2 months so in that sense putting mop earrings on and off would tire me. I needed something I will forget that I am wearing it, so I feel like pave pendant will do that for me :amuse: Also I go to sports everyday so I am planning to keep my earrings and pendant on. 20 MOP will be an extra piece for me and it is perfect that you can wear it really fast on and off for someone lazy like me:lol: till now I could never really wear rings, it always feel something extra on my finger I am very curious how I am gonna deal with an engagement ring since it is supposed to be there 24/7:yucky:

Mixing the metal is def not my thing either so even if I purchase some YG items I will just wear it with my other jewelry from my mom. I also felt at this stage I should prioritize the necklaces because i have short hair and bangs so my face is always framed you don’t really see much of my ears:lol:

And for bracelets... I feel like I like sm love more than alhambra or perlee pieces. Quite interestingly actually I like hermes kelly double tour in beige colour with silver hardwear. It is completely another style but I feel like it might look nice with some blue jeans! Or who knows maybe get the solid gold kelly bracelet

I know, off topic but I love jewelry and gemstones. Last post... promise!
If you like bangles, check out the Tiffany T1 bangle with diamonds. It comes in three variations... Here is the wide width with half diamonds. They also make a small with with half diamonds and a wide width with full diamonds all around. It’s a very youthful, sporty and casual look to me. Just FYI.

Haha no problem at all! I like to hear different views. I thought about this line, I even waited till it came out with WG and YG. But as I mentioned it previous posts there is something that really turns me off when I am purchasing luxury items. I saw this line sent so many instagram influencers as “ads” and it was a huge turn off for me. I know that VCA and cartier is also very insta popular brands but I feel like the demand is mostly for their bracelets or bangles and I am not really bracelet/bangle girl so I don’t get that much bothered by it  I have these weird obsessions sometimes, I am wondering if I am a bit weird as a person myself:lol:

Ok... I broke my promise not to post again, but I feel exactly the same way and want to share one more view.

I like luxury brands, a lot, but not when they turn into flashing logo jewelry. I tried on the T1, the wide all diamond one, and while it was gorgeous on, I felt like it was screaming Tiffany and not the design. So I decided to skip that bangle.

Alhambra is iconic, but it does not scream VCA as most people don’t even know what VCA is.

I shared the T1 with you because you mentioned the Kelly bracelet My honest opinion here... the Kelly bracelet is logo jewelry to me. It’s just a bangle that says “look at me, I’m wearing Hermes”. If you like that, perfect! But you mentioned you were a bit sensitive about that. Of course, if you are a Hermes lover and collect their Kelly bags, I do think adding the Kelly bangle while wearing your bag makes a nice “set”.

Anyway, just my two cents for another view. Ok.... I really promise... no more hijacking your thread going off topic!

We are all lucky here we can share our love of high end bling! I am sure whatever you decide will be gorgeous! Good luck to you!

Haha you are not hijacking at all! Btw I forgot mention that I also like behapi. I actually like the leather look in double tour. I am indeed not really fan of the lock because it feels a bit out of proportion on the leather one. I am trying to find out if I can get that leather look with a watch like cartier tank solo. But I also like the look of two leather straps crossing over eachother. I am actually looking also for unbranded but quality leather bracelets but I couldnt really find one on internet. I am thinking to check some more “traditional” leather stores after pandemic.

I am not a hermes collector actually my bag collection is generally from celine. I am big fan of box bag in different colours :giggle: and some few more trendy bags from dior and lv. Although my fav bag hermes bag would be probably constance or kelly:lol:

thank you very much for the advice it is really appreciated!

prefer long necklaces over pendants as they make a statement, and I find pendants just fade into the background.
Would love to see action shots of the long necklace worn casually. I did try on a long one that I liked, but it came down below my middle, so don’t think that was the twenty? But I’m new to VCA, so maybe I was mistaken

I think if my necklace as pretty casual and would wear it with t shirts. I also thought the vintage wasn’t big enough for me, bc while I’m short, I’m not small boned...JMO

Hi! Forgive me, but I am so not an action shot person (shy) but I did recently post one photo of the Friovle BTF ring I purchased in another thread (after I posted, I kicked myself for posting it). Anyway, that’s been the only photo. Here it is so you can see the 20. I also have on the earrings, so visualize those in the photo. I am wearing a ivory/navy striped top, skinny jeans and red Chanel ballets. Super casual. Hope this helps.

The 20 comes down low on me, near the waist and that is a good length. Love it. I think long necklaces should highlight the waist. Too short and it hangs right below the boobies and that’s not a good look to me (necklaces should land above or below the boobies, not on them nor hanging off them like they are falling off a cliff).

Try a 20 on again. It swings, it’s casual, it’s fun!

Hope that helps. Just my two cents.

@willeyi, Thank you! Your action shot is gorgeous and very helpful for me to visualize the 20. Also love the way you mix the VCA styles With the necklace ans the ring! Both are beautiful on you! and the wg is perfect on you! :D

Very nice picture! May I ask if the necklace was extended? Thanks.

Hi! It’s the original length of 34” which I think is the perfect length! Most standard long necklaces are 30”, which I find a bit short to look casual and relaxed. 32” is better, but this 34” is the bomb!

Plus, if you decide to double it, it’s perfect. It’s technically 17” when doubled (half of 34”), but because the chain is bigger with motifs, it’s not a true “divide by two length like a thin chain. It lays nice and wide, like a 16-16.5”, which then lands at the bottom of the hollow of the throat, a most beautiful zone for ladies. Perfect! To me, 18” is the worst length as it hangs too low. 18” sits right above the boobies, in that flat, squishy no man’s land zone. It doesn’t highlight anything.

To me, this necklace length works great for long and short.

Hope that helps.

Hi! I just saw your mod shot with your new 6... gorgeous on you! I think you would rock in a 20. It’s a different look than a 6 which is a bolder look. The 20 to me is more laid back look that adds a lean line to your outfit. Try it again, but don’t compare the 20 to your 6. Compare it to a simple chain. I think the 20 will look gorgeous on you.

Thanks - it is perfect length on you. The necklace looked shorter in some model pictures. So I was tempted to extend a 10 motifs and then connect 2 to make a long time. Now wonder if it could be too long....

I am like you! I had YG pieces for years, stopped wearing them after a while as I thought they aged me too!

I got rid of them, and then stopped purchasing VCA. I just rediscovered VCA again but only buying WG. I also did the same as you and purchased another MOP “set” but now in WG. Nothing in YG no matter how much I love the stone.

Thank you for sharing that. I thought it was just me. Very helpful!
You're definitely not alone, but we may be the only 2 that has made this change. lol. I sold all of my VCA yellow gold pieces, some at a loss, but I can't handle things not looking cohesive or right together. I'm also not good at mixing metals. Some people are, just not me! ;)

Hi! I am a white metal only person. I also like to wear matchy matchy sets because they add a nice chic elegant touch to any casual outfit, jeans, shorts, etc.

For me, I like long necklaces as I can see my bling. I prefer long necklaces over pendants as they make a statement, and I find pendants just fade into the background. You can brighten your face with earrings instead. Plus, long necklaces have a nice flowing casual vibe.. it’s also the 20s! Let it swing!

I have the Vintage WG MOP pieces in the 20 motif, earrings, and bracelet. I seem to always wear the 20 motif and earrings together, and it makes a nice set. I’m casual now, skinny jeans and this summer, Bermuda shorts. For a ring, I find the Vintage Alhambra ring a bit too small and actually takes away from the look of the 20 motif. So I like to wear a bigger ring. I recently purchased the Frivole BTF ring and when I was at the boutique, I just happened to be wearing the 20 MOP and it looked nice together. So, I would recommend looking at the Frivole WG collection to complement your WG Alhambra. This was my first Frivole piece, and I will probably go back and get the matching Pave earring (smal size). Mini earrings as you said are underwhelming... they just fade into the background and then you have to stack and add other bling which takes away from the statement jewelry.

I would recommend based on what you wrote... I would buy the WG Vintage MOP earrings and 20 motif necklace, especially if the 20 is your dream necklace. I love long necklaces! I am not a fan of buying two 10s and showing the clasps. I prefer the look of a true 20. You can always double your 20 to do a shorter necklace look. The 20 doubled look gives a more carefree vibe. A better look to me than a single 10, so in a way, the 20 to me is more versatile.

For WG, I think the Frivole collection complements WG Alhambra very well. I almost got a Magic Alhambra ring but felt I looked like a walking VCA Alhambra billboard, so that was not good. Ugh.

Hope this helps. Good luck to you! You can find a lot of WG at VCA!

I got married longgggg ago when yg was in style! Over the years, considering my skin tone is cool with pink undertones (dark hair and eyes which eventually will be silver/gray), I realized I look best in white metals, and jewel-tone and black, white, navy color clothing. As much as I love to look at VCA rich yg jewelry, I have to accept that it doesn't look great on me. Before the price increase, I even ordered a couple of onyx yg pieces just to see if I could manage them, but they just didn't look as good as the white gold on me. I do have a couple of yg Alhambra bracelets, but when I wear one, I wear all white metal jewelry with them and consider them a pop of color. I am keeping one for a daughter, but I might sell the other. I am focusing on adding VCA white gold onyx and mop pieces to the wg pave pieces I already have.

@willeyi I also love long necklaces! I hope to get the long Magic wg onyx necklace and your picture makes me tempted to get a 20 in mop. I am probably taller than you, though, as I'd need an extender to make the 20 a little longer.
