You can always try. In my experience, there is no set amount. I only bought what I liked though. I think the most important thing is that you and your SA "click" together. Also, being polite helps. Imagine you are the SA and only have two Birkins to offer/sell that week (of course they might have more but it is definitely "limited"). How do you pick the two clients to sell it to? Most likely you'll sell it to a "high roller," who you have or will obviously have a long "selling" relationship with..or to someone very nice and you really like..or to someone who is a "high roller" and very nice as well. Really, there is no one specific formula. Good luck!

I visited the meatpacking store on Saturday. It was such a different experience. The SAs all had iPads and seemed to be easily able to find what I was looking for, and if not, were able to order it. It almost felt like an Apple store because everything was really in the back and they had to get it (vs. the fun of looking in drawers). It’s great if you know of something you specifically want, but if you’re looking for treasures to discover, kind of hard.
I was just there last Wednesday. Their scarf inventory is extensive, both from a silks and CSGM perspective. Twilly inventory was so-so.
Thanks, it would be twills and CSGM I would be checking out. Heading to the High Line area in June, so will check it out.
Really hoping I can visit this store during the summer. I'm surprised they sell quota bags since originally I thought they were focusing on scarves and fashion jewelry for the younger crowd.
Curious... what would the odds be of being offered a K if I was to make a 9k watch purchase? We are visiting NYC and I’d just love to snag a bag with the actual boutique experience. ❤️
You can try but you have to go in. I called to ask if they had a particular non Wishlist bag so I wouldn't have to make the trek and they told me they do not give inventory over the phone.
I definitely understand that they wouldn’t give that info out over the phone. Mostly curious what the odds would be if I made a big jewelery purchase in store, in regards to a bag offer.

I went to H meatpacking district last month and the vibe was much nicer compared to the one in madison. I couldn’t really dress up like I usually do because I was there on holiday with my kids and bringing strollers etc but they immediately attended to me and asked me if I needed any help.
Whilst I did not manage to score a bag, there were 2 female tourists next to me who were offered a kelly 28.
Not sure what they bought in order to get offered a Kelly but I think if you buy a $9k watch you would stand a chance.

I was there last week and everyone looks nice. I have purchase history in the US but it was my first time there. I have been looking at perfumes for my husband and since he was with me we picked one. I was not really after anything but I went ahead and asked just for the fun of it. Neutrals only in larger sizes like B35 and bright colors in other sizes. I really didn’t pursued anything since I can get anything through my SA so that was it.
I was there this Thursday the SAs are nicer and it is bigger than the Wall St. Service is definitely better than Madison (I called both stores to see if they had something specific in and only the Gansevoort one was able to answer my questions the Madison one told me they were call me back twice and they never did....). If y'all need a SA there PM me.
I love the meatpacking store. Very nice SAs and no territorialism like other H boutiques.
