Not franchise. They kept the hours all weekend to cater to that neighborhood's clientele (lots of weekend shoppers).

I stopped by yesterday to pick up another silk (I’m cheating on Madison) and experienced the same level of good service. What I also realized as I was waiting for my SA to complete her transaction with another client, is that the SAs are a little more patient with clients. They adjust their approach (in a positive way) with each client depending on how acquainted they are with H.
When the Hackensack NJ Hermes moves to the Dream Mall, they will have diamond Birkins and Himalayan’s. They already know.
I was there twice- once for reconnaissance, once for purchase- and was TREMENDOUSLY impressed with the SAs. Everyone was wonderful and the SA I paired with really great. Smart, knowledgeable, funny, and truly insightful- what more do you want? And the store is amazing- beautifully laid out, great natural light. VERY different vibe than Madison ( and for the better!!)
The natural light is a real plus! Both Madison and Wall St are like caves.
Do we think the SAs have been lured from other locations? Are they very experienced, or have they just had really good training?
The SA I worked with said she had spent the last year at Madison, waiting for this store to open. I think she had been elsewhere previously as well, but can't swear to that.She really knew her stuff!!
I am going to NY next month. What is the chance of getting a black or neutral B/K 25? How much do I need to spend in order to be offered one?
There’s no rhyme or reason when it comes to this location. They’re still new and finding their way. I love this boutique and was there a fourth time yesterday. But like many H locations, maybe it’s a combination of the right SA, timing and inventory that can work in your favor. In chatting with my SA, they are well aware of clients’ hunt for B/K/C, particularly those who frequent the other NYC boutiques. I fully admit I’m on the hunt for a K28, but can wait and if it happens or not, no big deal. I enjoy so many of the other H offerings. But in my humble personal opinion based on my interactions with my SA and one of the selling supervisors, they would like to foster a long standing relationship with their clients.
Fully agree with sf_newyorker. There is generally no rhyme or reason, I believe. They are trying to build new and/or bring existing clientele over to this location.
If you come to ny often, you may be luckier than a one time walk-in because you will be building a relationship.

I got a K28 the first time I went in. I asked for a specific color, hardware and leather, and size. It was the only thing i asked and i wasn’t asked to buy anything (because i wouldn’t have). I was very lucky. I also live in NY and this store is the closest to me, so I think all those factors helped.

I would agree that as a new store, with 2 others in the city and a number near by, they are trying to build a dependable clientele. That being said, if you DO spend a reasonable amount of time in NY, I would stress that. This is what you want to build your relationship with them on ( and ultimately- if not first time!- find what you are looking for). Good luck!! ( and only buy what you love)
