I didn't like the Mararin but on you !!!! It's beautiful. I have to try it.
Definitely on you I prefer the Mazarin
And you ? What do you decide?

Thank you for sharing the pics, I think on the shoulder the Mazarine wins, cross-body the Speedy. Both are soooo gorgeous.

Thanks so much, I appreciate any feedback, as I am so torn. It's really a major purchase for me and I totally agree with you...the crossbody version of the Mazarine is not great, but the bag is so pretty overall, and I like that it has feet and the general look of it. I think if I return the Mazarine, I probably wouldn't get the Speedy...I feel like it's a little clunky on me? I dress up for work, and the Maz is a bit more dressy and still can dress it down. I just wish that crossbody it was OK. The strap on the Speedy was more comfortable because it's wider, but kinda too wide for me, if that makes sense. I have analysis paralysis right now!!! Side note, while I as trying these on at the store, a lady with her husband walked over to me and pointed at the Mazarine and said "what is this one" the SA helped her and she was out of the store in about 5 minutes all wrapped up and ready to go with her Mazarine! She said thank you! By the way..it only has one pocket inside...I wish it had two on the other side like the canvas version does, but only one large one, that does fit my phone, at least.

The strap drop on the new model Emp Speedy 25 when worn is 54cm at shortest, 60cm at longest.
Overall length from end to end including clasps 123cm at shortest, 135cm at longest, strap comes in 2 pieces on the new model.
For anyone who would like the comparison to the old model Emp Speedy 25, which has a 3 piece strap,
3 piece OM strap drop is 45cm at shortest, 55cm at longest,
2piece OM strap drop is 29cm at shortest, 34cm at longest,
3piece OM overall length including clasps is 103cm at shortest, 123cm at longest,
2 piece OM overall length including clasps is 72cm at shortest, 82cm at longest.
Hope that helps anyone trying to decide between old model & new model.

If it is for work the Mazarin is more dressy. I use my speedy for every day but I don't work and when I dress up for a diner I use a little black Dior bag. The speedy is more casual.

The shortest option worn on the shoulder is perfect for 5'2".

Interesting thought. I wonder which strap would be a good width and length. The speedy strap is too wide for it. Although part of what looks weird crossbody on the mazarine is that the bottom is structured so doesn't hug the body. Sticks out because it's stiff. Maybe longer would help that.
