New SLG and my 10 year old cles - how are yours holding up?

Hi LV friends!

I got this pretty little 6 key beauty a few days ago, she still has that new yummy smell
I am giving my 10 year old DE cles a break, after using it for my keys and wallet non stop daily. I was debating getting a new one but went with the 6 key instead and so far I'm loving it.
My cles is in rough shape lol. I am wondering if my wear on it is normal for its age, anyone else have an old cles? I'd love to see some pics

My 2008 monogram clés is looking worn, but not nearly as badly worn as yours because it was only in constant use for about five years. The monogram is faded and wearing off at the high points of the "grain" and the hardware is showing normal wear. The stitching is still completely intact, the edge is only slightly bowed, and nothing egregious immediately hits the eye.

10 years of daily use? I'd say that's aged very well...

Mine comes from 2014.. Still in good shape, hardware still shiny, no issues with canvas. Have bit of color transfer, tried to clean up but not 100% clean. I think it’s the risk of having DA..

Looks pretty good!! The hardware looks good too, mine has dulled quite a bit!

Mine is more than 7 years old, faded and old but I still love it and use it every single day. A few days ago I just purchased 6 key rings. Comparing the canvas print, the key pouch looks faded, hardware less shiny and beaten up.

Seems like mono holds up better than DE!

Vintage monogram canvas is really good quality. Below is a vintage mono key cles, datecode is around 1997 or 1991 (can’t tell it’s faded). DE key cles is from 2006.

Get your hands on a vintage mono key cles if you can! The print is still so vibrant!

Both pieces are more than 25 years old. Even though I have newer Vuitton slg these are two of my favorite items.

Both are holding up very nicely!! Has the glazing from the 6 key holder given you any issue? I heard the new ones peel very quickly.

So below is another key cles I have. It’s a very rare piece, much smaller and does not fit credit cards. Purely for coins. Took me a while to find her.
- 1988 vintage monogram key cles with a round top, so around 32 years old.
