I just received my Rhyder, and it was a mix of the old-style cardboard box, plus all the new packaging inside. Did you request a gift box? I didn't, and was wondering if that's what made the difference.

Regarding the dark/black dustbag & light leathers, yes, color transfer is a concern. This issue has been discussed in the Dooney forum.

No the packaging is being changed throughout the company; it will just take time for all changes to go into effect.

Must be for the higher priced bags, I just bought one from my full price store and it had cheap feeling white dustbag. Actually I wish the boxes were of the same quality of the dark brown boxes from years ago or even the white and gold ones. My favorite box was the department store pink ones with the gold.


I think if you do buy a higher end bag at these prices it should come with nice packaging so that is a plus

I hope there will be no color transfer but hopefully Coach has thought about that. I have never had any transfer with the old brown bags so fingers crossed.

The gift boxes are the same as they were before: the brown ones with the gold writing and brown ribbon. My Dakotah came in the new black dust bag. I really liked the new outer packaging. My bag came packaged in the dust bag which was then wrapped in white tissue with the heavy white paper Coach sticker. It was then placed in the gift box and tied with the brown ribbon. The box was then wrapped in a large sheet of brown paper and a gold Coach sticker on it. Thats odd? I got something else that was not a collection bag with the black dustbag and my gal friend got a grommet borough last week in a black dust bag and it was shipped from Jax. I think they are switiching over and maybe some Crosby's still have white ones in them? Will be interesting to see what happens. Never know with Coach.

No fp said they didnt have them yet but my SA ordered some stuff from Jax and she said it all came in black dust bags and it was from last floor set. Who knows???

I received my silt Daily bag a few days ago with the new black dust bag. I also had the really nice box and gift box with special packaging. I like the new shipping materials.
