Food New set of every day dishes?

I'm looking to buy a new set but can't decide on the color, which do you think is the most practical besides white, off white, or cream color?

That's a great idea for the office but I would like something a little brighter. Right now I'm looking at a set that is a very light colored turquoise that blends down into a light cream color. I would like to incorporate the soft turquoise into a few other things in my kitchen which is mostly grey shades at this time.
