Yeah, same thing with Neiman Marcus. But I'm now ok without the box. I'm glad I got it for less than almost 400$ including the cashback. Waiting, researching, and being a member of this forum with all of you sharing info and giving suggestions, made it all worth the procrastination! hehe... I almost bought this full price last Feb. Do you like the new tassel? I like the leather strips better but I like the opposite end when it had the metal tag. Thoughts?
Hmmm I'm ok with it. I might remove it though, not a tassel fan in general.
I took mine off too. It just hangs too low and slides all around the crossbody strap.

Here is my 2 cents regarding the Tassel of the YSL Lou camera bag in matelassé.
I have called the YSL customer service in Paris, France regarding the 'new tassel on the new bag'. I was told that all the camera bags old or new has the rectangular metallic plaque. She had not had any information regarding the change in the tassel. Please be informed that this was what I heard over the telephone from the YSL customer service hotline in Paris. She just told me to be careful in purchasing elsewhere than on the YSL website or the YSL Store.

The one I got from Saks didn’t have the metal plaque either. I got it about a month ago.
This is a picture of the camera bag I purchased from Saks but this picture is from the YSL website with the “new” tassel without the plaque. So YSL does make them this way.
