Looks like there is new packaging. Opened my recent purchase and the item is inside a pouch similar to the travel ones. No jewelry box.

This definitely does not feel high end at all, at the prices they are charging this kind of packaging is really disappointing and embarrassing. I wonder if all the Richemont brands will veer towards these kinds of pouches too. It doesn’t feel special to open it.
It was a pendant. After I posted I saw this discussion in White gold guilloche thread. I believe they are transitioning to this eco friendly packaging.
Whoa. I always thought the huge box with stuffing was overkill, but this seems like they went in the complete opposite direction. I like the little sturdy boxes the pendants used to come in. I wonder if they switched to this new packaging in boutiques as well; or like you said, if their higher end lines come in this packaging.
As a side note, I hate when companies find shortcuts to cut costs and advertise it as being eco friendly.

This was from a boutique. I also prefer the boxes and actually use them.
I ordered a magic alhambra pave pendant long necklace, and received the new packaging. It is very different from the VCA jewelry boxes that I used to receive for my pave necklace (not pendant) and 10 motif alhambra necklace.

To be honest I would be quite upset to receive travel-esque pouches at pave piece prices. It just doesn’t sit right with me, the luxury experience is lost.
This!! I absolutely agree. Just like when Apple cut out earphones and charging heads from purchases to be “eco friendly” when really they’re just cutting cost. It’s annoying and we see right through it.
