They are only iconic for people who have been buying Vuitton for a few years. For those of us who have been buying for over a decade, we have known other boxes and packaging. The idea that this packaging is "iconic" really depends on your perspective!

I don't think there is any other brand that has such a recognisable box........ Even the previous older LV lighter brown box's were similar.
I just love my LV box's
The Chanel and Hermès boxes are undoubtably more recognizable than the current Louis Vuitton boxes. Like you, I like the brown boxes, I just don't think they qualify as "iconic" since they were introduced just over a decade ago. The Épi-style boxes were as significant in the brand's history.
I am so glad to see that we are going back to the blue ribbon as well!
I think they look really good somehow a mix between modern, fresh and classic at the same time. And at the end of the day they could put the bag I love in anything I would still buy it I choose the brand not the box, that's a bonus IMO.
I hate the new design, but c'est la vie!

LOVE this new packaging. It's fresh, more recognizable than the brown one. And the fact that the yellow color is taken from an old trunk makes it even more desirable. I'm so happy they kept the tiroir-boxes, very practical to get things in and out. Thank you LV !
