The tiny trunk is seriously too cute
As a lip balm die-hard, I love that they did this and there's at least three tints I want to try beyond clear. Now just to narrow it down with those, the trunk, and the mini cosmetic/lipstick bags.
I keep going back and forth with the trunk though. I really love the look of it, but I also can't help but think it's going to be cumbersome to get in and out of as frequently as I need lip balm. Then again, does it even matter when it's that adorable?
I just saw lipstick and balm price is $160 USD. Eyeshadow palettes are $250 USD. Hoping it won’t actually be that much 🫠
This is coming from someone who purchases Hermes makeup.... $160 for lipstick is highway robbery. I believe these prices are correct as Business of Fashion posted them this morning.
If LVs Beauty line does well with these prices then Chanel will probably take notice and start doing increases on their makeup like they do on everything else. 😅
More concerning to me is how this will drive the prices up for the industry. I was alright with lipsticks at $110 when H is around $80 given it wouldn't be LV if it weren't more expensive than H in almost every category except for bags, but double?
People are going to buy it, so H themselves can go to $110 and still be less and the Gucci lip balm that retails for $49 can go up to $75. Not looking forward to it.
If these prices are correct I will not be buying. I am very tempted, because they look GOOD and I could afford it, but I don't want to be OK with that price range for make up.
