Darn, I just bought a new Lou camera bag at the YSL boutique 2 weeks ago and they did not have the back pocket then

I decided to write to YSL cusomter service about this. After some back and forth emailing it looks like I taught them a thing or two, that the newer model does indeed have an external flap pocket.
They at first tell me it doesn’t but I point out to them that there are pictures and descriptions saying so. Anyway best for you to go in store to make sure if possible!

Ha! We are so good at knowing our bags that we end up teaching the designer brand staff a thing or two. It’s happened to me many times before.
I can’t wait to get my hands on a Lou with a pocket. Have had many Lou camera bags (sold most of them) throughout the years, but this pocket is a game changer. It makes me want a Lou all over again.

I had sworn to lay off the YSLs after I ran to get a Mini Lou before this latest (insane) price increase and they just had to come out with an outside pocket Lou, and ruin my ban didn’t they?
Was anybody able to confirm that the outside pocket would fit a plus sized iPhone? I'm assuming it will since the width of the bag is over 9 inches and most iPhones are around 6 inches in height (which would fit horizontally).

I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max and the phone fits in the outside slip pocket even with a thin case. I am afraid of stretching the leather so I usually have it in the purse unless it's just a quick holding spot.
Thank you! That pocket was made for those phones, since we are constantly putting them in and out of our bags.
Do you think it looks like it will stretch out or get misshapen if you use the pocket to store the phone?

I love all the hardwares on this bag, but that black on black is truly unique. YSL did it first, now Gucci followed with the same idea for their Marmont Line.
But you can’t go wrong with the aged silver. That one is so classic and wearable. I would probably get the black and gold, just because I already have a couple of black and silver bags and I wear mostly gold jewelry.
I shouldn’t be buying bags either. Believe me. I have gotten a ton of bags in the past year, and a Mini Lou this past November. Now, I’m ordering this Lou with pocket and still have the new Gabby chain bag on my list. I’m a full blown addict.

Would you pay extra USD 200/300 for one with the back pocket?
I could get the older model, the one without the back pocket and the price is USD 200-300 cheaper
Is it worth to pay a little more for the back pocket?
