I hate to sound critical but the truth is any leather bag will have scratches with daily use, unless we're talking about Saffiano leather. And some people hate Saffiano because they say it feels like plastic. My advice is buy this bag if you like it (mine is black) and take care of it like you would any expensive item you own.

True, but not all leather is created equal, I'm afraid. Some soft leathers are more scratch prone than others. My test is if my leather conditioner/moisturizer can minimize or even eliminate light scratches on the leather, then I'm good to go. Otherwise, it's a pass. And regardless of what type of soft leather you have, I agree, you need to take care of it like any other expensive item you own.

I initially went to MK to get the small sutton but after spending 30 minutes deciding if I want the flap bag or sutton I ended up choosing the Hamilton traveler in medium. It was the last one at the store and also she gave me an additional 10% off because of the scratches so it was $174 after tax!!! But the plastic protectant on the straps makes me wonder if it's a fake!!! Let me know if it's authentic!! I will post it on the authenticate thread as well.

I have the same bag that I got from the MK store. It had the plastic on the straps like that. I only remember because I fought to get it off. HAHA.

I ordered the Large Luggage Hamilton Traveler from Bloomingdales and it came wrapped the same way !

Did MK discontinue the traveler? I was hoping they would come out with a scarlet red.

They're sold out everywhere. There was a sale going on MK but I was too late. Thanks for the update though.

Maybe they're not sold out in other sites, but MK keeps on listing them for $199. When I click on the link they are all sold out. The hamilton traveler leopard was on sale, I put it on the deals thread. The regular leather was on sale at the same time. I missed out on both sales. 😢
P. S. I'm looking for one that's on sale, but thanks for the help. I can't justify breaking my ban for the hammy.. Maybe for another Miranda, lol 😁
