Interesting..the strap is substantially thicker than most (thickest I've seen in a long while) and if by "cover" you mean flap, you could wear it open like a Birkin too if you preferred.
Rest assured that anything H will always be backed by their H spa service for the life of the item. I would say this bag would be, no more or less, wear and tear than a B, K, C, KD in my opinion
But I will keep you posted for sure. Great concerns to have for a bag that runs $10k after taxes. I will definitely keep my eye on those things you mentioned.
It rained today and didn't get soaked but a little drizzle on it and water spots completely disappeared after seating in car with AC on, phew

Are you referring to the mini drag or bigger size? If you're referring to the MINI version of the drag, I absolutely love love love love it. The handles are nice and roomy enough to wear it anywhere from my wrist to wherever I want on my arm (at least for me), very comfortable on crook of elbow. And the crossbody is aweome. You can remove the shoulder strap if you want to. feels like a baby Birkin in some ways.
