Thank you so much for the effort of showing me your lovely bags! I'm amazed by how you keep it so well!! I sincerely hope Dior maintain its quality nowadays!

I think your panarea is similar leather finish with the small Lady Dior in silver as pics below..

While the diorama micro-cannage silver is close to a patent leather, I hope this doesn't affect its durability.

Yea after getting various info from you all kind bag lovers here I'm pretty sure will be a diorama I'll be getting [emoji847] now I blame myself why I didn't seek for help here earlier [emoji39]

The only difference is my Panarea is coated canvas whereas the Lady Dior is coloured grained leather. If you're concerned about the quality of their patent leather, I've also posted these photos in the wallet thread. I got this Lady Dior wallet at the same time I got my Panarea (in 2011):

i think the pins on the new small lady dior and the thick strap look terrible. just looks cheap. i hate it and recommend you get another bag. looks like something a 6 yr old would want to take to school.

I was at my son's assembly last Friday after I checked out the new LDs. When I saw his female classmates with badges on their blazer, first thing I thought was Oh..My...[emoji85](sorry no offences to the lovers) Just wished it's a normal strap for the new size

Rofl your point is hilarious[emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] thank you for your input floatythoughts. I was gonna say I too have a similar worried it's too 'young' for a 35 years old[emoji12]

If someone daring even at 40s can pull the badges look off a strap by all means but I don't want my son to be questioning me , ' mummy which awards was you given by earning those badges[emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]'

I think that makes this Lady Dior cute. Badges are on many other things, including some hipsters' backpacks and messenger bags. They're a cool way to personalize a bag.

I'd much rather have the high quality and classy badges from Dior than cheap pins decorating my bag, so the Dior pins/badges are winners for me.

sorry but LADY dior is supposed to be elegant and ladylike.
not childish. badges are childish. brooches on clothing perhaps might be classy but a badge on a bag is never going to be classy.
maybe this badge thing would be more suited to the baby dior section.

I don't have an issue with them making and selling these straps. I just wish there were more options for the small (thin leather, chain, those awesome jewelled straps, etc)

While I agree that the image of the Lady Dior has been elegant and lady-like so far, it's nice to have a bit of fun as well. It shows how versatile the design can be, just like it can have a studded Cannage pattern to add a rock n'roll flare. It certainly won't be for everyone, but this new size of the Lady Dior with this customizable strap is attracting a new clientele to Dior, which I think is exciting. The Rose Poudre version with the customizable strap sold on WeChat in China sold out before the promotion was over, speaking of the success of the style.

And the strap doesn't need to be customized. It can be plain, too.

The best part is that if you have a Lady Dior in a different size (i.e. mini or medium) in the same colour, then you can interchange the straps. You can even get a chain strap from Fendi's StrapYou collection.

I actually just saw the bag in real life. The badges don't look that kiddish as I thought. I guess depends on the badges you choose. The thicker black strap is quite nice as well. Definitely bumped up to no.1 on my wish list. Oh and the size is Perfect!!

Hi wonderful members here, after much thought with all useful informations gather from you guys, I end up returned my small lady dior and decided to pick up a Diorama instead. So here is my update for you guys, pictures heavy[emoji12]

The reason of returning is, beside the faulty of the one I brought back, the red lambskin on the small lady dior will always be a worried to me, I think the thicker strap is easier to get scratches plus I don't like the thicker strap look on me crossbody. ( I think it look much nicer if you wear it on your shoulder, too bad I don't usually wear my bag just one side on my shoulder[emoji5] ) Although the badges strap is very unique and super cute, I still prefer something classier like a chain strap would suit my style more.

So I went in to store to choose which Diorama I wanna get.

I was comparing between silver metallic medium and red grained calfskin small...

I love the Both of them seriously, they are both stunning bag!! The silver one is more special and iconic but than it is slightly harder to take care because the silver is like a patent paint coating, it's easier to see wears during the long run, and I saw it already has a colour rub off on one of its corner! So red is the way to go~ as I initially wanted a red bag...I feel that I need it more!!

Since they don't have the red in medium (but I've been told there still one last one in the Asia regions, they can order it in if I wanted), I compare the small red with a orange medium...

And than I come to a conclusion :

As for the red, the small size looks better on me(6'4), it's cuter and not too boxy, works better as a pop of colour. So I decided to bring home the new released true red small grained calfskin Diorama!! I absolutely love the new red colour!! It's like a strawberry red according to what's my SA said, the tone is different from previous season rouge vif with a hints raspberry tone, the new red is a warmer red, is the true red colour[emoji173]️[emoji173]️[emoji173]️so yea I'm sure this time I have made the right choice[emoji51][emoji51][emoji106][emoji106]

Thanks for letting me share[emoji8]
