I like it too. I don’t like the existing one and I preferred the 1999 version the most. I am looking forward to see what’s in store for Burberry. I, too, have stopped buying as most of Ricardo’s designs were not to my liking.
I hope Daniel Lee will get rid of the TB clasp on their handbags tbh...
It just always reminds of me tuberculosis (TB)! Which was fine, since I saved money by not buying their otherwise cute handbags due to that lol.
Otherwise, I quite like this new logo, however, yeah, it's simply the 1901 logo with the 1968 font in uppercase?
Which is still better than the pretty soulless 2018 one.
I think this is why the fuss over it confused me, because a lot of us are familiar with the 1999 one, which is similar to the 1901 one.
Anyways, quite glad brands are moving away from the ubiquitous and (IMO) plain Sans Serif font (Isabel Marant recently changed their font/logo too).

lol, TB reminded me of Tory Burch.
Nothing against Tory Burch, just a bit jarring everytime I saw the logo and another brand would pop up in my head.
But now I'm seeing this new letter logo and I'm not sure how I feel about it...
I'm not sure if it will be the letter logo of choice, maybe it's just one of their designs, but the B on a shield isn't really speaking to me lol
You'd think they would have put the horse on the shield...

Yea. It is possible its still from Ricardo, since Daniel Lee's debut will be at London Fashion week this month.
