Oh, girls, you are just stars. I can't really say with words how much your posts help me. Thank you.

I even didn't know that there is HAZE leather but this thread helps a lot (it says it is leather, I suppose not patent). I will put some weight in it and hang it for a few days. I might also use some conditioner to help more.

Honestly, girls, you are amazing. Thank you

^I would be careful with conditioning the haze leathers. Some girls said it took the shine away. You should wear it and keep hanging it every night when its not in use

I've conditioned my purple haze and it has helped to soften. It did take the shine away at first, but then if you take a soft cloth and buff it when it's dry it'll shine again.

What I do when nobody is watching is I whack my Purple Haze MAMM against my knee to help soften it up. And then I massage it and then put some stuff in it and swing it around making sure the inside things jiggle against it hard. It helps a little.

Hi - I'm looking for a good, stiff purse that doesn't get all "floppy"! I absolutely hate when digging in my purse that's soft and it caves in and I can't just reach in and grab stuff because the whole purse has flopped and caved in... Hope this makes sense! Is there a good purse out there that's more "stiff" - holds its shape esp. on the inside? Thanks so much for any suggestions!

Agree with fashion1. The glazed leather bags hold their shape much better. The new denim leather is one. Their is the older glazed burgundy and glazed olive. Even further back is glazed espresso and glazed almond. Probably others too. I just can't think of them. They are all wonderful.
Some of the glazed goatskin bags from this past winter are softer in my opinion though...the glazed black, glazed brown, glazed fine wine. They are not a pile of smoosh, but they are softer than the other glazed I have seen in real life.

Thanks so much for the suggestions! Okay, I'm showing my lack of "purse experience" here(!) - but is "haze leather" a type of leather or a brand name of purse?! I'm assuming it's a type of leather and if so, are there certain brands you'd recommend?

Hi there,
I just received a nylon mam and the leather seems dry and very stiff. It has the blue and white lining, does anyone have any experience with this? Will it soften up?

LOL - RM Happy Dance!!! I felt like a dork for massaging mine (when nobody is watching)- yet I can't help myself. Thank you for confessing :D

Hi everyone! I just received a more structured bag than I'm used to, and after reading this thread, i have been hugging, squeezing, and squishing the leather to make it smooshy! Lol :) I am wondering if anyone has any experience with this kind of embossed leather, and if it breaks in as nicely as some of RM's regular leathers? I have the new bag in a MAB, but it is the same leather as alligator/croc/snake wallet that I have in my picture. (Btw, I was taking these side by side shots of my MAM + my embossed wallet to see if plain black leather tassels would match the embossed leather, as my MAB came to me without any tassels, lol)

I have a purple Alligator, and the embossing looks just like yours. And it is one of the stiffest bags I have. I haven't squeezed it much, I baby it. But if yours softens up, let me know how you like it. I may start doing it to mine as well.

And this leather is gorgeous. Oh, I have a matching cosmetic case, which gets more use, and that has become softer. So, if it softens like the case, you'll love it.
