kayyle, that is awful. I don't buy on ebay because I am too afraid I'll get a fake and that I won't get a refund. I hope everything works out for you.
Most of the auctions for Juicy Charms on eBay have to be looked at very carefully. If the pictures are only "stock," I would
NEVER bid. If they "mix" stock with their own...start asking questions before you bid. Ask for pix from every angle...ask where it was purchased...do they have a receipt...is it a re-sell, originally bought off of eBay? Don't be afraid to ask. If they don't answer, it's a Red Flag. Don't bid.
Communication is the key...albeit a very small key. But a seller who refuses to communicate with you is usually not too "on top of things."
And ALWAYS pay with a Credit Card. I learned the hard way that if you pay directly from your checking account, you'll never get the money back.
A charge transaction can always be stopped by the Credit Card Company. (Yes, I bought the Pink Sunglasses off of eBay...and the "stem" or "arm" fell off the minute I took it out of the box.) Paid through PP with checking acct. Tried to contact seller...no reply. Filed dispute...paid another $20...useless.
Dragonnette...you didn't accuse me of anything...and I'm ok with everything, truly. All ended well, we all learned about the "matte" finish and the different "nuances" as
GLL referred to (loved that term), and as far as I'm concerned, it's finished.
That's it for tonight...have a good one!
