So I bought a brand new Louis Vuitton speedy bandouliere at LV store in Amsterdam. I wanted to put my initials on in (called hotstamp). Today I was really excited because I can pick up my bag with my initials! When the employee came with my bag I saw immediately that there was a line above my initials. I was in shock and ask her why there's a line. She went to the manager and came back and told me that it was normal and will fade away. She then said that the line is because of the machine for the hotstamp. Now I regret my initials because of the line it really annoys me. Can someone please inform me if that happends from the machine? And will this fade away? Or must I go back and tell them that this is not normal?

To be honest I don't think that this will fade away.. she ment maybe when you get a patina but this will take long .... I haven't seen something like this from a hotstamp machine.. ask in the lv hotstamping club her in the purseforum..

That is not normal at all. Go back and complain to the manager. That is not a good HS job. :annoyed:

That is not normal ,[emoji53] I went with my friend to pick her speedy up from getting hot stamped and it was perfect, I didn't see any lines or creases. I would definitely go back and ask for an exchange. Sorry it didn't work out.

This is not normal, at all!! Be very firm when you speak with the manager and, in case, show him pics of properly hotstamped speedys. Be prepared and combative. They should find a solution for you. Good luck. Let us know.

I agree with Sandra AT, I don't think this will fade away. It would bother me a lot and would take it back asap.
