Hello I have planned my trip to Paris, and one of my destination is definetely Hermes. I called the store, but they didnt give me any information at all, they told me just to get to the store. If you dont find the colour you want, is it possible to place an order? What are the rules in Paris, because I live in Norway? What are the most common colour for the kelly bag 32?

Thanks so much in advance

Usually you cannot place an order. Least uncommon would be like gold, etain, brown, orange...

It that true that we can find Birkin at FSH Hermes store??? Because I heard about that and I am very curious and could not believe!!! If it is true and I would really go to Paris as here in Vienna Hermes does not let people order anymore.

I just die for a Birkin in black with silver hardware.

Hey! I went today but no luck :'(
But I know people who have been lucky so you should definitely try :)

I went to Paris with my hubs last week (September 2015), we popped into the Faubourg store around 10:50am on a Friday with hopes of snagging my first birkin. I didn't have much hope, but my hubs was up for the hunt of it all. There was a huge line for the bags. I got frustrated and left. My husband (bless his heart), said, I got this! He wait about 45 minutes and requested a 35 birkin for an anniversary present for me. He mentioned that I already owned a 30 Lindy in etaupe with white contrast stitching and an Evelyn in orange epsom. The SA wrote it all down. He said he preferred red, blue, brown or black. The women offered him a 30 birkin, but he said no and wanted a 35, she then brought out a 35 blue saint cyr (new 2015 color...link of like lagoon) with PHW. He took it! He said the SA seemed genuinely excited that he was doing this for his wife.

I think is is easiest for men who are polite, have a compelling story and american to obtain a birkin on first ask. He also bought a pair of shoes for himself and a scarf, so maybe that helped too.

He was dressed as american casual as it comes (jeans, sneakers and a t-shirt...no high end labels).

I also think that requesting a new color may help as not that many people were requesting it yet.

Congrats on getting your B for your anniversary present. When you said being 'American', do you mean being 'caucasian' ? I think quite a few American TPFers were turned down as they are of Asian descendants because they think all Asians are all resellers. It is an unfortunate misconception. I know personally a few local Parisans are resellers but they yet they are treated as loyal customers.

It is pure luck of which SA you run into. Some of them are more biased than others.

Yes, caucasian guy (all american looking and terrible at speaking french) :) Sorry for the mistype!

I told my friend that she has a higher chance of scoring B as her husband is an american engineer and totally looks dead right honest. She has been longing a B and I think he will have a high chance of scoring one. :D

Totally! I think the SA's get tired of dealing with women all the time...maybe "regular guys" are refreshing to them. Keep me posted. I hope she get's her B!! I was joking that I could roll up to Hermes decked out in designer finery and no one would give me the time of a day, but a man in sweatpants who doesn't care about any of this stuff, gets helped every time! haha :smile1:

This is such a different brand. in the past, people are intimated to walk into stores not dressing up for fear of being looked down by SAs. It is the opposite in FSH.

I also think going to the store with a significant other is helpful. Luckily, DH is super supportive of my H addiction and agreed to stand in line with me. He also took the lead in the conversation. I think it helped alot.
