one of Hermes SA in FSH tell me if they mass produce birkin, the brand will be collapse long time ago, it is a marketing strategy , i have emailed hermes to place order for a lindy and birkin , they said ok if i have a local friend to do that , yes i have, when my friend arrive , they only allow to place order for lindy, they do not keep a word on their mouth, for those tpfer spend thousand dollar on hermes and do you get the service you expect, may be refund will be a better idea, use the money to do charity instead pay and get mock

I got a surprise call few days ago from the H local store and the SA asked me if there is any change for my PO Birkin list (i was confused and don't remember when was that) and she said i placed the order in year 2009. She told me that if there is any changes, i can still amend but of course i'm not sure how long is the wait....PS/i did not spend thousands of dollars in the store.

It's not a marketing strategy - they are hand made & only so many people can make them in so many days. If they mass produced them, the quality would suffer & then what's the point? If people wanted mass produced easily available bags, they buy LV & Chanel. The popularity exploded & they're working to keep up, but won't sacrifice just to meet demands. That's respectable in my books.

just wondering, in case after the long waiting you finally get the bag, do you also need to pick it up in person? what if you're not able to travel during that period of time, will they sell it to somebody else?

you can choose by post, in us they choose fedex
in hk they use a very slow company call hubnet

The SA tell me each day they produce 2000 bag only (included all kind of bag
picotin toolbox evelyen etc) only a few are birkin and kelly . 2000 bag for worldwide H store is not enough, is the stock is enough, no one would demand a B or K so much nor celebrity will use it

Hi, just came back today... NO BIRKIN OR KELLY. NO PO... they said the wait list is closed (CRY!!) since last week...

however!! when my bf went last week, the said PO list is not open yet..and today i go, they said its close... how bizarre.... i spoken to 3 different SA all got the same reply.. and i heard a lot of others were asking too, were all turned down...

but, can someone answer me... if the list is not open, why i still see people checking out the samples and the leather type and discuss with the SA?? just for fun??

But!! Good news for those that want some thing else.. there is quite some number of Jypsiere, Evelyn and Picotin Lock (Which i got one just today for myself ~ what a cute bag!!)

will attend the store every 3 times a week to see my luck...
