Costa, I forgot to mention that the same day that I was at FSH, another member posted she had been there that day too and that she bought THREE birkins. i think just walking in off the street too. so I guess you never really know. I did go at the end of the day. i'm sure there was nothing left.

One question, though, is FSH open on Sundays? [I'm assuming not, but thought someone here would actually know.]

I'm back home.

What I find out is that is seems they have changed the reciving hours but I didn't really understand when they recive them.

Well, after three days of searching I was lucky enough to get a Birkin etoupe 35, but all Paris was birkinless:sad:

Do they definitely restock in the afternoon? I made a mistake jumping on a 30 epsom chocolate birkin on saturday (not my color at all) and am desperate to exchange it before leaving tonight from paris. The guy at the boutique told me they restocked this morning and wouldn't again today; should I believe him or check again around 2?

Also, what are the options for exchanging it in the states? Do I have to pay anything if I get the same leather same size different color? Oh, and I didn't really get a receipt besides the tax back stuff and the credit card receipt. Was I supposed to get another receipt like the lv yellow paper one?

Sorry for the 9 million questions, but this is my first birkin and I'm so distressed for not liking it after spending so much money. I really want something I like. Please help!! Thanks so much in advance.

I guess you weren't there for the morning opening/stock? From my understanding, during the normal schedule there is likely to be more than one stock delivery per day. However, this being the first of september when the workmen should be returning to the workshops, it's likely they are not able to provide that much inventory, so what he said about one stockage may be true. However, you can always pop in and check!
It's really a shame that you got a color you don't care for, but I can understand your enthusiasm for getting a birkin at all and purchasing impulsively. First, check the stock at the George V store, there may be something there you like.
I do believe ladies here have exchanged items bought in Paris in the US, however, if you wanted to be sure call your US store and talk to them about the situation. If nothing else, there is the option to get some kind of credit while you are still in Paris. You need to talk in person with store assistants in Paris to find out what all your options are. :yes: For example, perhaps they can issue a credit and send a bag in a color you like once it becomes available?

I actually went for opening and they only had a chocolate ostrich... Which didn't solve my problems. George v only had an orange croc w/ diamonds. Do they really ship for you? That would be a great option.

Yes they can, but I think it's restricted to in person purchases only. In other words, they don't take phone orders. In your case, I would definitely ask about that option. :yes:

Heard from some friends in Europe that the last week of Sept and first week of Oct is Paris fashion week, filled with fashionistas coming in from all over the world.. thus stock may be limited then..

i have an update on this and snos11 is correct, the paris fashion week starts on 30th sept 2008 - 08th october 2008. so ladies, its uselessss to come to paris within these dates, because all the movie stars, socialitesss are gonna be there...and guess who will get all the birkins =) not us deftinately, mortal human being =)

usually around fashion week they do have the best inventory. all "fashion" eyes are on and in paris that time so of course they are well stocked to "impress" kwim? dunno if they show newbies everything from the back though
