need your honest opinion - sidestones too large on my E-ring?

The proportions are perfect. If you want the center stone to "stick out" more than yes, the side stones would need to be a tad smaller, but this ring is perfect and as I said the dimensions of all three stones are perfect for this design. Enjoy your gorgeous ring!

Omg! We are E-ring twins! I think its perfect the way it is. My center is 1.65 and my sides are .44 each. Size 7. Here's a pic, sorry it sucks, I can't takes pics of my ring for the life of me and its kinda overcast today! Anyway, I love the look and it looks gorgeous on you!

so i had some fun today and photoshopped in actual 0.25ct round side stones onto my ring!

first i printed out an actual sized carat chart, an cut out the 0.25ct stones. then i put them on top of the side pears and took a photo. Finally, i photoshoped in the diamonds of the correct size.

what do you all think? i really love the round sides now... there is more curvature on the sides, giving the center stone more distinct visibility...

IMHO I don't think the far-away picture with the rounds looks that much different than your current ring. If you're really concerned about making the center more distinct I think you should think about a solitaire or maybe a five stone.

I'm a solitaire lover. With your main gemstone, it would be regal all on its own. When accents stones are large, they become a "3-stone" engagement ring. It depends on what you want the e-ring to be: 3-stone or solitaire?

You could also consider a third option: a fancy solitaire with the classic tapered baguettes like the one below (it's a cz sample from Winfield's) - this style is inspired by Harry Winston.

I wasn't exactly sure what to expect when I scrolled down, but wow, I LOVE your ring. It's truly beautiful and looks perfect on you. :smile1: If I were you, I would not change a thing!! I don't like the marquise shape at all, and IMO, yours looks nothing like it!! :smile1:

Please do not change a thing. Your ring is stunning as is. The computerized version with the two round side stones does not look as elegant and chic. The pear shaped side stones are in perfect proportion to your center solitaire.

Honestly, I think the pear side stones look beautiful and make the ring a little more unique. I wouldn't make any changes, or at least wait a good amount of time if you do. I personally find your current set up way more interesting and eye catching, the fact that your side stones are pears sets off the beautiful center stone and makes it pop way more than slightly smaller rounds...
