Oh I just looked again I see what you mean about the marquise, but I think it is just the picture. I think based on depth in real life you would see that it is clearly a large round center with the accented sides!!!

Frankie, I commented on this elsewhere. But to repeat, I think the symmetry of your ring is beautiful and that it does NOT look like a marquise! In fact, the first time I saw it I was really impressed with the lines and was SO excited that you'd received such a gorgeous ring.

However, if it's something that really bugs you, I think you should consider a change. It doesn't matter if 99 out of 100 people love your ring...it matters what you love. I do think that if you change it you should consider a different shape for the side diamonds. I don't think you necessarily need to go smaller, just a different shape (bullets?). Or you could go with a different stone like sapphires. Good luck!

I personally think it's perfect on your hand. If the pears were bigger they would dwarf your center stone. If ANYTHING Id go down a few points in the pears but really, I think it's really perfectly proportioned.

WOW! When I first opened up this thread was was like...OMG what a GORGEOUS ring! Great color and sparkle and it really looks proportioned to me and you can tell that it is a solitare with side stones...Did you get your ring from I.D. Jewelry?? I have been purchasing from them for many years!

omg i love your ring! Please don't change a thing about it <3

where did you get your ring from? Right now i'm in the process of helping my sister with her engagement and also eventually thinking about my own in the future hehe..so I would love to know more info about jeweler :)

edit- nvm I saw that you posted your jeweler info in the 1st post hehe, i was too distracted by your ring :D

I love your ring!! It's so beautiful!! But I do know what you mean when you say when you cover up the side stones your center stone looks bigger. It's because if there's nothing on the sides there is nothing competing with the center stone!! It's really what you like!! My ering has two tiny rounds on the side of my princess but I wanted the dainty look so I went for it, and even sometimes I think that the small rounds make the princess look smaller (and its true it looks smaller with side stones), but I love my side stones and the way it gives my ring the over all look so I proudly rock it!! If you love the chunky style, I say keep it just the way it is, it's a perfet stunner!!
