If you want this to last forever, I would go for the 31, that’s a classic. The trend for big watches is already in the wane, I feel. It is what I see but also, last week’s Elle FR had a feature on smaller watches, Vogue FR also run an article on the return of small watches.
I am getting a vintage Rolex for my (very tall) husband this Xmas (from his birth year) and it is a 34. The same one Ryan Gosling wears. I find smaller vintagey watches so classy right now. They seem to me more in agreement with the times. We don’t even pretend to look at time in our wrist watches anymore, so a big face is starting to look incongruous.
Blue is very trendy right now, but together with the diamonds I find it perhaps too much. Great with jeans though.
