Thinking about making a purchase.. this would be my first from MZ Wallace - deciding on the black Bowery sling or the black Crosby sling - wondering if anyone knows of which might be more durable? Planning to use it loaded up in rain, snow, sun. I want it to be able to stand up to heavy use.
I had also read that the hardware on the black Bowery sling can tarnish or rust after some time? Or the coating wears off? Unsure if that is even something that happens, but someone did mention it under the reviews.
Does anyone know how the hardware on either wears?
For those who have seen or tried both, do you have a preference between the two? Would love to know why as well. Thank you for your help!

I think this style is selling well they had the tri-color and was sold out too. Silver blue seems to be low stock at the moment. I'm sure dawn will be available again. I remember dawn was sold out a few months ago too :)

Oyster metallic is not sticky. I had a few other older metallic and this one definitely feels better.

Sorry I'm really not sure of the "longevity" of Oxford. My Oxford bags are all retired and sold eventually with snags or abrasion sign or thread popping out. Honestly I don't thinking I'm a hard bag wearer. I buy and sold too much the bags are usually in fairly new condition. So I figured it's my problem since other members seems to have positive experience with Oxford. I know some ladies are pure Oxford only Mzw buyer too.

Welcome :) I can't advise on the sling style but for hardware the gunmetal tone is one of my favourite mzw hardware. I did experience tarnish on 1 of the gunmetal hardware bag and return it after owning for 1 week. Mzw received the return with no issue. I don't think hardware will be an issue with Mzw.

Thank you for your kind comments. I went with black because there was not much other choice at the time I placed my order. MZW does not stock enough to satisfy demand. It’s annoying how stuff sells out fast…. ie. Raffia, the slings, backpacks, et al. For me at least, it takes me time to rationalize my purchases because I don’t like to sell my bags. I buy with a long term outlook of ownership, and by the time I am done rationalizing, items are sold out! Headquarters should order more stock so people can get a chance to buy.

Since MZW did their system update last year, myself and others in Europe, couldn’t see well the MZW site on our smartphones. We could only see elongated images that would give a headache shortly after. So for many months, I was seldomly following the site from my big PC. I repeatedly reported the issue to MZW and nothing was done. I contacted Lucy directly and shortly after the issue was resolved. The point is, because I lost my constant touch with the MZW site for some time, by the time I caught up, I noticed I had missed on the Small Crosby Backpack in black!!! Could not believe this. I have been needing this piece for years. I do hope they bring this piece back in black and in more colors!

Wow u received the items super fast too! So u have started using the Satchel :) What do u like about it?

I used to have azur speedy 25. As much as I adore the classic shape, the lack of pockets and organizations makes me prefer Mzw. I still like the speedy b 20 especially in empreinte (but I don't think I'm going to buy one anytime soon haha)

Hope u will find the black small crosby backpack soon. I want to get a regular dawn Mia. I'm hoping mzw will restock soon.
