I wish they made a crosby bucket bag in buff with the white strap that comes with caramel. That would be my perfect summer combo. Im torn between getting a buff bag or a caramel one for summer. Caramel seems a tad dark, but i love that white strap.

That is a tough decision. Is there a store near you that carries the brand, so at you could at least see the colors in person?

I bought the Boucle Crosby Bucket Bag after much deliberation and am very glad I did. To my surpise (and delight) it is actually a REAL boucle fabric with small transparent sequins scattered thoughout, not just a print lookalike. Hardware and straps are lovely, it holds my wallet, sunglasses, phone, etc so size is very nice. The only thing I wish it had was feet but my other favorite "going out for the evening bag", the small Crosby in black lacquer doesn't either. It does appear to be a bit delicate but I am very happy with it. Very different that any of the many MZW's that I have.

Ooooh, please post some pics if you have time. Hubby asked me what I would like for Mother's Day and this bag was one of my suggestions.

I recently found a slate metallic mini with the pink lining in new with tags condition. I have yet to wear it. I sold my anthracite to help fund it. I think the fabric is a tiny bit sturdier than the regular lacquer, but I prefer the lining of the anthracite. The new bag has a slight patina but doesn't look worn. It has silver hardware and silver end tabs. I will probably wear it in summer with my silver Birkies. We keep getting rain here and I hate to wear a new bag in the rain at least till it has a bit more patina on the handles. Do you wear new bags out in bad weather?

I try not too but sometimes I'm caught by surprise since local weather is always rainy all year round. But if your bag has patina already I think it should be good especially it's slate metallic<3
