MYH I am in awe of your handbag discipline. I had to get a closet redone to access/view all my bags. I seem to have a soft spot for Dior. Anyway, back to you... your H collection is divine. My eye went immediately to the Dark Blue Picotin with the orange contrast handle. I'm not a bucket bag person, but those Picos are just perfect! I would love a Raisin Kelly (or of course a Kelly Cut, which I keep admiring!) Perhaps I'll dare to ask for one when I make a trip to the mothership!

Your collection is perfect! [emoji7][emoji7][emoji7]
Thank you honey! I consider you on my bag board of directors ya know.
@MYH you have a beautiful and ranging collection in both color and bag type! I think Miss Raisinette (I love the name) is perfect for you, given your love of purples! Beautiful photos.

As a side note, when I'm washing hands and I have my bag, I do a weird balancing act of turning my knees inward and resting the bag on my knees so that it hovers and doesn't touch anything. Crazy- but we are all a little obsessive here!!!
I will have to practice this. Maybe you could give me a demonstration next time I see you :hugs:

Beautiful! great collection!
Thank you dear!

We are twins on Cavalleria d'Etriers! In fact, I think it may have been your earlier post about this shawl that sent me running off to the store to buy it. I know I saw it on TPF and then asked my SA to find me one!
I think this shawl just casts a spell on whoever sees it. The same thing happened to me. I saw someone else with it and then I just had to have it too.
Congrats on your Ms Raisinette! She seems perfect for your collection and you have a lovely, well rounded collection!

If it's not TMI I've been know to squeeze my bags between my knees off the floor for hand washing, grab a towel first though or you get a lot of funny looks as you hop over to the dryer or towel dispenser
I guess I have been living under a rock or something! This is the first I've heard of the old "hold your bag between your knees" trick. Thanks for the tip Mrs O.

@MYH, thank you for sharing Miss Raisinette's adoption story! I enjoy your stories and am aspiring to have a H capsule collection of bags like yours. ;)
It's hard weN84. I was a bit heartbroken to let one go! But I know it's the right thing to do. Good luck with your capsule collex

Omg!!! I could listen to you all day long!! I am serious dear MYH! You have the art of holding your audience captive with your narratives and it's so easy to visualize and identify with everything you say!
Loved hearing about how you acquired your gorgeous Raisin B! I was once on the hunt for a Chanel tote and one of my amazing friend said "all you need is a B. You don't need any other tote"... Rami if you are listening a huge Thank you and shout out to you!!!!
That stuck with me and I stopped looking for a Chanel tote and ended up buying my Etain B! Boy was she right!!! B's are special not just for the legacy created around them but for me it's how functional they truly are!!! I am so happy to hear you enjoying your new B[emoji173]️[emoji173]️
As for that beautiful collection of yours, I am speechless!!! Love the K's! You have GT, gold and my 'hold still my heart' dream color- malachite [emoji3][emoji3][emoji3]
I have a GP ....my first H bag and the only thing that annoys me is that it doesn't have feet (come on H really???)... But I usually put a paper towel beneath it before I set it down! Not my favorite part but I can live with it since GP I use for work and don't mind throwing it around a bit [emoji16][emoji16]... With B I am so much more careful[emoji3]
I am trying hard not to be a bag hoarder as well!! But like you I am rehoming bags too! If it doesn't meet a specific need and I haven't reached out for it for a while out they go! I don't want any bag for my collection if its not functional!
Thank you for taking the time to take us along your journey! I did wonder when I came back to tpf as to when I missed out on the raisin B [emoji3][emoji3][emoji3]

You are too kind eL4b! I just write down whatever spills out of my head. And Rami is very wise. That gal has a capsule collections that's just tops! And  to malachite! I hope one comes your way soon. You also have a collex that's droolworthy. :eyesbuggingoutmouthdrooling:

You're such a great storyteller, MYH. Every post has me sighing over the beauty of your collection, and this latest with Miss Raisinette ... Ohhhh, be still my beating heart! She is gorgeous! (Btw, I am happy to offer you my complimentary bag rotation services anytime, heh heh.)
I had a great chuckle when I heard of your generous offer to rotate bags for me! That is so selfless of you and kind to think of my needs. Thanks for dropping by and letting me know you enjoy this thread :hugs:
Great post and FABULOUS find with Ms Raisinette!! Raisin is one of my all time fave H colors.

P.S. Is PbP the new mama to your Colvert Pico? It is her signature color after all. [emoji6]

Oh Bleu Saphir is FABULOUS!!!
My all time favourite is Bleu de Prusse though; they don't do so much in that anymore
Bleu Paon is quite lovely as well. Actually most H blues are wonderful haha.
No it's not PbP lol. She is the Pico bags godmother. The new momma lives in Canada! And I'm with you. Blue Saphir is gorgeous but BdP is also one of my favs too. We all like the same colors!

I agree with you! Every time I walk into Dior I see stuff I like too. They have some extremely tempting bags there. All the bags you mentioned would be gorgeous. Raisin k or KC. Yes, please do ask at the mothership. I got mine without any trouble and was a bit speechless when they just handed it over.
Congratulations on your gorgeous new B!! Love listening to your tales - you are a wonderful storyteller! Thank you for the fun
Thanks hon!
I love all of your bags! And great storytelling as usual.
Thank you!

Your collection is simply stunning, Miss Raisonette is really gorgeous. Have you ever considered a red bag for your collection or are you not into red.
Hi Suzie - thanks for the kind compliment about my little collex. I teeter back and forth on red. I don't think I'm into a bRight fire engine red but a rouge H or rouge grenat are up my alley. But I'm trying not to think about another one!

Bleu de Prusse and Bleu Saphir are both divine.
I've hankered after a Raisin bag forever and found my perfect Raisin in a Jypsiere .Sadly I passed on it as I don't want another cross body bag and love my Gold Evelyne too much to change.
MYH I'm interested how you feel Raisin plays in bright Summer light , I'd thought of it as a colour for cooler months but maybe it's more versatile?

For those of you that know my H bag collex well, you might have noticed I've snuck a little something into my photos recently that I didn't have before. This one kind of just fell into my lap really. I was not bag hunting! I swear. I didn't even think I needed this bag, but now that i have it, I have discovered it is so useful. Yeah...I recently acquired a Raisin B35.

TBH, I have pondered getting a Garden Party a few times in the past year. I did think I might eventually need a tote in my collex which I didn't have. But there is one feature of the GP that always holds me back...it doesn't have metal feet. I do sometimes put my bag on the floor in "yucky" places. It happens. :annoyed: Have you ever been in a bathroom stall where the purse hook thingy is missing and not on the door? My sis tells me she lays down tissue paper on the floor and then sets her handbag carefully on the tissue paper. Oy, so much trouble. Who has time for that? If my bag has a strap, well, it just stays on my shoulder while I go to the bathroom. OK! sorry for the visual. :amazed: But with a handheld bag, I would have to put it in my lap? And what do you gals do with your totes when you're washing your hands in a public restroom and there is nowhere to put down your bag? If it's held on the crook of my arm, the bag touches the wet soapy sink right? So really, the only option for me is to put it on the floor somewhere out of the way of splashing water and soap. See...this is all hurting my brain. I dunno...I just couldn't figure it all out so I always held back on purchasing one. I need a bag with feet. Now the B does solve this problem cause it has feet but oh...the price! And I could never decide on a size either. 30 or 35? One seemed too small....the other too big....I felt like Goldilocks. Why can't H just make a 32 or 33cm B? That would solve all my problems.

So one day I'm minding my own business, happy as can be with my current H bag collex, when I get an email about this bag from a friend. After a few conversations, she mentions a price I cannot refuse. I think, OK, for this price, I can take a risk and try out a bag that may be too big for me. I will make it work! :determined face: (Sorry, I need to make up emoticons now because the ones provided just don't cut it) And the color...I knew it would be perfect for my wardrobe. And the year...2008. I do love the bags from years ago. They seem to have more structure and the leather seems different to me too. So this Raisin B ticked all my boxes.

So I made the leap and purchased it but then felt guilty! I have too many bags. I too subscribe to a "capsule collection" philosophy on bags. If I have too many, I won't use all of them. And I'm doing my best not to be a bag hoarder. I want all the bags in my closet to be in rotation and for each one to have a purpose. So I decided it was time to take a closer took at my current collex and re-home one or two. Sadly, I had to vote someone off the island and I decided it was going to be my Colvert Pico MM. I have two blue picos and felt the colvert one would get less use. So off she went to a new home...I hope she is happy with her new bag momma. I've also decided to vote another bag off the island...a Chanel burgundy clutch with chain. I hope to find this one a new happy home as well...I just haven't got around to finding time yet to work on her adoption.

So I've had my Raisin B for about 2 weeks now and the size is just fine! I don't find it heavy unless my bag is really loaded up. And well, luckily for me, in LA, I drive everywhere so carrying it for long periods of time doesn't really happen. Also, a unexpected perk of a B. It doesn't topple over in the passenger seat if I take a turn too fast. I know, you laugh. But it's true and it's a nice change from my kellys. Those babies are tipsy! They are constantly falling over because they have thin bases/bottoms. But Miss Raisinette has a "fat" bottom and her center of gravity is LOOOOOOWWW. She has no problems standing upright in the passenger seat no matter how crazy I drive. (just kidding! well, not really)

And I didn't know it at the time I bought Miss Raisinette but I think she has completed my H bag collex. I know it's hard to say I'm done! This is my final collex. But I think I'm pretty darn close. I can't think of any bag that I want or need now. I didn't know a B was the bag that was missing. I just knew something was missing...but I couldn't quite put my finger on it. But the color and style was just what I needed.

So here's a photo of my "Final" H collex. 9 bags. Raisin B35, Gris T K32, Gold K32, Malachite K28, Orange Pico MM, Eclat Pico Blue Indigo/Orange Poppy MM, Gris T Evelyne PM, Tosca Evelyne PM, and a Black KC.

Congrats dear, what a beautiful bag! My first h bag was a raisin box plume élan, which was too small for everyday use, then I happened across a beautiful chevre bolide 31. I released my élan as soon as the bolide came to me and I just love this combination, especially with silver hardware. I've not yet mustered up the courage for a b bag yet, as they are typically too heavy for me to carry, but the smaller ones do appeal to me if ever I come across the right price and leather combination, enjoy and I think you were right I. Your editing choices. The only other purple that I love is IRIS, and that is stunning. In a pico it is crazy gorgeous. I'm glad I have a MM.

Hello there! Well, in the midst of what is happening around the world today...:hrmm: I thought we could all use a little light-hearted scarf talk as a momentary distraction.

I've got a longer story here but wanted to drop in quickly and show everyone something as part of our Hermes scarf education. I think most of us are now in graduate school and earning masters or even Ph.D.s at this point. Here's the lesson for today: H.com scarf colors vs. IRL colors.

So we've all known for awhile now that the colors on H.com are a bit different than the colors on scarves IRL. I've heard H tweaks the colors on purpose to trip up forgers. As a scarf lover, I am all in favor of fewer fake scarves floating around in the marketplace so I completely understand why they do this. But a negative side effect is that I don't always feel comfortable buying scarves from H.com because I'm not sure what I am going to get. And I consider the return process a total PITA so I will usually brave the traffic and drive into my local boutique to see it in person.

But I never knew just HOW different they really are. So today I thought I would show some side-by-side comparisons of a scarf I saw on the Fall 2016 thread vs. the scarf in real life. When I saw this on my iPAD a few days ago, I put it on my "maybe" list for fall. I happened to be at a boutique yesterday and thought I would ask if they had any new Fall scarves in yet. When my SA pulled open the drawer for giant silks, I was giddy with excitement because I saw something that caught my eye. The giant silk Cheval Phoenix. Yes, it looks like there is a giant plume coming out of the horses rear-end but nevermind. You can't see this when tied. It's really a beautiful hybrid of Cheval Sur Mon Carre and Mythiques Phoenix. The colors in real life are so much more VIBRANT than the colors shown on H.com. it went from a "maybe" to "love at first sight" when I saw it IRL.

So I'll write a longer post about my little H escapade with a dear friend with mod shots later, but for now I'll leave you all with this...

Here are some side-by-side comparison pics. The left side is the H.com pic and the right side is my IRL pic.
(see post below...image uploading is not cooperating on my phone:annoyed::confused1::yucky:!)

Amazingly different and even more beautiful IRL right?
