My unhappy experience from reebonz

Yesterday, there were a few Celine luggage there. I got up early on purpose hoping to get one I wanted.
I kept on refreshing the page and finally I ordered a red luggage, I was very excited as I have been on local store waiting lost for 3 months with no news.

After credit card payment online, a confirmation email was received.
And then after 6 hours, I was called by reebonz that they have found a defect in the bag and will not ship it to me.

I was outrageous. Are they supposed to check the bags before they launch them? Are they manipulating anything? I asked if they will offer me another luggage and they said they won't. I m greatly dissatisfied. It is my first time to buy from there. I hope every tpfers shall be careful.

Dramatically, I called my local store today and they are happy to offer me a citron micro, though it is not my perfect color.

sorry for what happened.
i guess maybe they did check the bag before they launch, just missed out the defect and found it last minute before they ship. im running an online business, it happened to us that we double checked when stock arrived, but ended up found a tiny defect before we ship it to our customer.

forgive them and enjoy your citron, its a very nice colour :D

At Reebonz we try our very best to provide the customers only with the best quality items, at the same time we rush to make them available as soon as they reach our Reebonz warehouse. At the same time, we always double check if the item we sell to the customer is of prime quality, and because of that, we would perform a second quality check before sending the item to the customer, just to be extra sure we didn't miss anything the first time. We were unable to offer you a replacement bag due to scarcity of the product.

Sorry, I wouldn't forgive them. Maybe I'm just petty but I feel very strongly about bad customer service. When you get someone's hopes up high and crush it, it sucks!!!! I'd be pretty pissed if it happened to me. Unless they're willing to compensate with a gift certificate!
 
Just saying this, so don't shoot the messenger:

Celine Luggages are often sold out on Reebonz events, so even if they wanted to offer you one, they probably don't have any on hand.

Would you rather they send you a flawed Luggage and then you have to jump through hoops to get it returned? Or for them to cancel your order and refund your money?

Yes, customer service could have done more e.g. Giving you a chance to grab a Luggage at the next event, before the event starts.

But at the end of the day, I'd count myself lucky that I didn't end up with a flawed bag.

And no, I'm not from Reebonz though I have purchased from them before. I'm not willing to pay way above retail for a bag. That's just my view.

I think it was better that they thought to inspect the bag before shipping you a defected bag. Then you would've been mad that it had defects and would have to go though a return process. This was just an honest mistake on their part.
 
Of course everyone makes excuse for their mistakes.
Anyway, I am greatly disappointed in this company. Their price is not particularly attractive as I saw lower prices in many other shopping nets. Even they provide me any compensation, it is out of my favor now.
By the way, I don't really mind the defects if it is not very obvious. I am just thinking they are reserving it to other customers.

I got a Pink Mini luggage there, it was obviously repaired and had something painted on it, it was the perfect color but I was just upset about the repair.
After going MUCH back & forth, they can only offer 10% discount, I wasn't happy about it at all, and the customer service was horrible in Singapore, at one point, they decided not to retract their offer to me cause I mentioned I have taken off the tag cause it could be me that repair it, in fact, the defects was there and I have a picture to proof it the repair was there before tag was taken off. I stopped the communication with Singapore and HK office contacted me, I only accept their offer because of the lady talked to me was just in between me and the company and I didn't want to give her any hard time...

So anyone if they want to buy from them, you have to risk receiving defects... otherwise their price is actually better

I don't find Reebonz's price very low; in fact, their prices for certain items I was eyeing were $50-100 more than other places. For instance, they had an event for Alexander McQueen silk scarves, pricing each scarf at SGD 399, but I can get the same scarf for less than SGD 300 undiscounted AND after shipping from Net a Porter.

Same for their pricing on Proenza Schouler's PS1 continental wallets; I bought mine from Sien Antwerp for SGD 650 after import taxes and shipping, and they priced theirs at 699. Would've been 600 if I bought yesterday, the Euro has fallen by so much...

I agree with you. I can find the other net e.g. Farfetch or mytheresa.com much lower price for the same bag ( murberry, miu miu, balanciaga) has 10% lower.:roflmfao:
Anyway people will know later.
I don't think I will buy from them again.
I m lucky to get a fluo pink celine from europe afterwards.
I love pink more than the red from reebonz. Lucky I didn't get it from reebonz.

It's true, reebonz's price on Celine can be quite high. A fren bought a tri-tone mini from reebonz at SGD3950 & DFS S'pore has a very similar tri-tone and selling at SGD3500. So to me, reebonz is prob a last choice if one is really desperate !
