Update! The ring went into production a few days ago -- we just got sent the CAD renderings. Note that there is 10-15% less metal on the real thing than you see in the CAD renderings. For some reason they always thicken the metal in the image, apparently.
It's getting very exciting -- I can't wait to update with hand shots!

I can't wait. We just spoke to Jon and are going on Friday instead, the two stones he called in won't be there til Friday afterall. That actually takes a little stress off my brain now, I was hoping we'd be all on time and able to zip on out after we got to our hotel but this works nicely. We can hang out and do a little wandering and shopping and relax.

Went well. We stayed with the stone we came with, because I couldn't find one I liked better. I don't LOVE this stone at all, but I also didn't love anything else enough to trade. My husband wanted me to get an AV Round. He couldn't believe I didn't love that. It's really awesome, but for ME not my thing. I LOOOOVED the Octavia but in order to get one that was "big enough" for my hand, we would have really had to shell out the cash. That thing is amazing, and it's something you just have to see in person.You'll have to tell me how your GOG visit went!!!!
I am REALLY disappointed that my photos are all MIA. I went to pull everything off the memory card last night and ALL my pics from GOG are gone. I have the first pic I took when we got there, and then nothing is on the card from that point til Friday night at the Empire St. Building! I am so mad. I took some awesome pics, esp of the stuff I tried on! So...unless I can figure out where they are, if they still exist, they are no more.

Another update! The ring will be arriving TOMORROW!!! BGD just sent us glamour shots of the ring today to tide us over -- it looks incredible!! I'll update my own pictures hopefully tomorrow when it's in my hot little hands.
I had a slight heart attack because in the front shot of the ring, it really doesn't look like the facet structure of my diamond. But my diamond-obsessed friend assured me that it's fine, it's just probably because the photo isn't head-on.
