It's really beautiful - just stunning.
TBH I think people (jewellers in particular) can be get a little precious over diamonds. At one end there is the Hope diamond and others similarly mind-boggling, at the other end there are the industrial diamonds and then there's the middle where most of us shop - a certificate is great but it's not the document that is beautiful. It's the stone and if it blows your mind, then it's right.

The stats are 2.38 carats, H color, and SI2 clarity.

Squeee!! Those are pretty damn beautiful. He and I have discussed those. I watched a few of his cushion vids to give my opinions before he put them up online and if I end up going away from rounds I would prob. get a modern cut cushion. I can't wrap my head around it yet.It is an AVC!! I've had my eye on them forever, and I'm so excited we actually managed to snag one! We lucked out -- this diamond had literally been delivered the day before and hadn't hit the website yet, so Jonathan let us have it.

But I AM going to be with Jon. I used to be a PS'r so he and I have been chatty for about 5, almost 6 years. I owned a Star129 before it was stolen from me in Sept. I was the first one he ever knew that owned one and I let him check it out, as he was trying to become a vendor for those stones. So when my rings got stolen, I immediately called him. After rejecting a few, I ended up with a nice one, though I am not sure I love it. I can't tell if it's because of his and John Pollard's thoughts that it might just be because it's bigger than my original and that changes how it handles light, or if I just don't like THIS one. Or want a different cut. So after dillying around with this stone for about 2 months we decided we need to just go there and look at other stuff in person. I can't decide what I will want to do until I am there. So next Thurs. we fly up and if we get there on time and early enough we are going straight from the hotel to see him. If not we'll go on Friday. I just need to tell Jon what the plan is when we land so he can block out a few hours for me. He will be so glad when I am gone. HAH!
I am also hoping that we can get a set of small studs. I don't actually own any real studs, all of mine are fakeys! So getting those...that's a big maybe. I would ideally want Stars for those also but really any nice round H&As would be fine, they're on my head, not my hand. lol!
I am OBSESSED with your diamond. It is absolutely beautiful. Can't wait to see the completed product.
