mpark46, mmr & purly-thanks! I'll post as soon as I get her back...The Chanel SA was very hopeful-she said there were a couple of bags brought in after Hurricane Katrina in bad shape and Chanel was able to fix them up as good as new!

Yes they do offer a restoration service too. My bag was no where near the same condition as yours but they quoted me 750 euros or $1000 to repair the corners and change the lining. I'm currently in negotiations on this with them because that price is way toooo steep.
o I didn't know Chanel did this. I have to keep this in mind.
