If there is no sign of forced entry the police will not do very much - they usually just suggest to contact insurance or sometimes even altogether question if it was theft. (Ie that missing items have just been misplaced.) At the moment the U.K. is going through a funding crisis - unfortunately a stolen handbag no matter how valuable, is only going to be considered as ‘petty theft’.
You have my very best wishes, although our things can be replaced, it’s absolutely awful to think that someone has keys and access to our personal space. I do wonder if tne place is rented? definitely worth contacting the landlord and change keys.

Yes. Sadly it is the case. I in the medical sector and sadly I know it is getting worse in London. I have security, a lot and the company has not been helpful at all. I have seen other people get their purses and watches stolen so I am not surprised. It is just sad that the security is not cooperating.

I didn’t need to read your reply to know that the police would do exactly nothing.

I think the bag will appear at some point though. It is unique , many of the people interested in H read this forum, the stores are notified, etc. it is only a matter of time.
I also hope so. H have been really helpful and supportive.
