Ok, I'm not able to help but I face this problem with this Gucci when I wore a few layers plus a thick jacket, so am thinking if that cld be the problem?

I have seen someone (didn't ask where she got it) wearing a pin like device on the shoulder of her coat which had a clip you could open and slip your shoulder straps into and that kept it from slipping down. I've tried to do a search for this item. Don't know what it's called or where to get it. If anyone finds out, please post it here.

Thanks, tandek :smile1:

every bag falls off my shoulder... so I just grab the handles when I'm walking (also to keep thiefs from grabbing it) and while I'm shopping I have to turn the bag, so it sits there, for a couple of seconds lol

Interesting! I'd like to know about this too. Although I probably wouldn't get it because I'm the type who doesn't like adding extra things to a purse like that.

Same here with any shoulder bag of mine, some much more so than others! I usually just compromise and have an arm and hand hold the straps on my shoulder as I travel, and yeah, come to think of it, it is more thief-proof this way anyway!

You could bring back the 80"s and start wearing big shoulder pads. LOL! Remember the old tv shows, Dallas or Dynasty - I'll bet their bags never slipped of their shoulders!

Seriously though, I have more problems with double-handled bags, one strap always seems to slip down and flop off my shoulder at some crazy angle. So now, even though I've got broad shoulders I prefer single- wide-flat-strap bags.
I prefer the same kinda bags, which narrow my choices quite a bit (can't handle hand bags). What I do with a double strap bag, like my LV BV, is to cross the straps on my shoulder. I put the outside strap on the bottom and the inside strap on top, this helps out a lot.

The only kind of bag I buy is a shoulder strap bag. I prefer single flat strap as it stays on the shoulder best but I do understand the slippage problem. What works for me is I tend to wear my bag towards the back of me. Does that make sense? In other words not directly downward but behind my shoulder which is why I only will buy zip top bags, to answer your next question, "Well can't someone stick their hand in your bag without your knowing it?" I really find by wearing the bag this way, it stays on. Again, I am an only shoulder strap buyer as I don't like carrying anything. I like my hands free for when I shop to carry shopping bags! ;)

I have the same problem with my shoulder bags, the straps never stay on my shoulder, I don't care what bag it is. I generally just hold on to the straps, it serves two purposes 1 keeps my straps up and 2 extra protection to keep people from stealing my bag. Sometimes I just don't care though and let one of the straps just fall off. It gets annoying sometimes.

There is a Prada bag which I was eyeing for about 9 months which just sold out at Barneys. Was reduced to $900 but I remember the SA @ Prada saying to me: "while it's a single rolled handle, you might prefer something with a flat handle because by day's end you might feel it's digging into your shoulder..." That was the turn off for me not to buy the bag. I loooovved the bag but at the same time, won't spend a single dollar unless the bag is near perfect!

My Linea Pelle bag (from the Dylan line) has really soft flexible handles that mold to my shoulder, it stays put even though there are two straps.

By the way, I tried the Dr. Scholls for another bag and they didn't work, it was a glossy leather and they wouldn't stick.
