Thank you COHgirl for those awesome, fantastic, extreme close up pics of that yummy yummy bag.....HOTTTTTTNESS!!!

JMHO but I think the slightly darker edges are the beginning of a patina, which will happen over time with vachetta. I have a vachetta Ergo that I do not carry nearly often enough because I'm nervous about color transfer. My Ergo is darker than your Willis, and she came to me that way. I'd say she's about the color of your Willis in the sunshine pics, maybe a bit darker. I love that she will patina over time!

I might have to try BonBonz's suggestion and test a bit of Rain Guarde on the bottom of my Ergo. I was worried that the spray itself might darken the vachetta, but that's what spot tests are for :)

I love this bag! The natural vachetta is sooooo beautiful. This is the color I will get if I decide to get this style. I love crossbody bags so that isn't an issue for me, but my only hesitation is the size. I fear I would swallow this bag! It might look like a coin purse with a long strap against my body! LOL! I hate that, cos it's such a gorgeous bag. Looks so cute on you, too! And it will patina and get more beautiful with time.

Well, COHgirl.....after a long talk today with another tPF'r I TALKED MYSELF OUT OF THIS PURSE. Thanks for the reveal, I've now TALKED MYSELF BACK INTO THIS PURSE!!!! If you take it to leather shop, or a western store or a shoe cobbler, they can just punch a couple more holes in that strap so you can cinch it up more. I'm willing to bet that your jeans will transfer color on the back of it, but hey, no one will really see it. LOL Lovin' My Bags makes a great Vachetta conditioner. I use it on the vachetta on my Louis Vuitton bags. It keeps the oils and stuff from turning the vachetta dirty looking. I plan on slathering some of it all over my bag and then letting her suntan for a good long time. I'm nuts about the tanned vachetta. If you look on the LV forum you can see some that have been conditioned and tanned and they are totally fabulous! This was a great reveal because you took some great, detailed photos and plenty of mod shots! Thanks!!!

Why can't I find this on the website? I tried to look it up by style 19132, 19132q, Poppy Willis, Willis.....I looked all over the place, can't find it. What am I doing wrong??

With the quantities being so low, it was removed from the website. You'll have to call JAX or a boutique to order one. Good luck!

Thanks for an amazing reveal - and taking the time to take so many detailed pictures! Super bag - and you look fantastic wearing it! I talked myself out of it...... and you just talked me right back into it.

As for the edges - they're painted, so I'm not sure the bag will darken as much over time. Here's a description from the website -

POPPY LEATHER NEW WILLIS
$298.00style:19132P

A modern interpretation of the most famous Coach dowel style in the
company archives, updated in naturally tanned vachetta with rounded edges, rich
burgundy edge-painting and a 70th anniversary commemorative hangtag.

I have never had vachetta leather so I don't know what to expect. The edges already have a deeper color developing on it. Hopefully it will show up on these pictures.

is this normal??

Thanks for the great pictures showing every detail of your beautiful willis bag!
The vachetta leather looks gorgeous! I wanted to order one in this color but I know it's too small for all the things I need to carry in my bag.
Looks great on you!
Congrats & enjoy!

Gorgeous bag-congrats!! It will definitely get darker over time and with exposure to the sun and use. I believe another tPFer said Coach vachetta is a bit different than Louis Vuitton vachetta and I only have experience with LV vachetta. Anyway I have had several LV All Vachetta bags and treated all of them with Blackrocks Leather N' Rich to condition and Obenaufs to make the vache weather resistant. I have been caught in unexpected rain/snow storms and the bags have always dried fine with no water stains.
It is a bit scary to see them get dark and wet but after many applications of Obenaufs they come out okay. Treat at your own risk though as some people just like to leave the vache "naked" and let the patina develop naturally. Here's a pic of a LV Noe and Alma I treated (hope it's okay to post on a Coach forum:smile1:) Enjoy our beautiful new bag!

OP, You might want to call Coach, my Natural Willis just arrived and has grommets on both the front and back and inside of the bag. I have attached a picture for you to see.

I just called Coach about this and they have no clue what I am talking about. They literally told me that your bag may be a fake to take mine into a Coach store to have them look at it. Useless.

Wow COHgirl! You look fabulous, and that bag looks amazing on you! I wasn't sure I would like this bag just from looking at it online, but I love it after seeing it on you. Congrats!
