My new Vernis, and a question

If you use Applegarde on vernis, make sure to mask off the patent leather with something - the spray will leave a nasty film. I've heard that SM is better on vernis pieces.

Hmm..weird, I know I read somewhere that you shouldn't spray Vernis with anything as it leaves a film. It's good to hear SM doesn't...I wouldn't try it though.

I use AG to protect my bag's Vachetta. I don't care for the naked vachetta...I love it when my bags patina.
AG is excellent with avoiding watermarks and stains.
For those of you who've never treated your leather I'd like to know what you do when it rains? Aren't you afraid of waterspots?
