You have a fabulous and stunning collection...I love how each piece is used and loved...and you capture the beauty in a very unique way with your pictures...your Granddaughter is just cute beyond words!!

Thanks for sharing!

I am DROOLING!!! I agree, the watercolor papillon is worthy of purchase for the pattern alone. SO pretty. It instantly turned me into a collector. And your trevi *sigh* - nothing more needs to be said. It is The ultimate LV bag!

This is my workhorse! Affectionately known as 'Big Lou'. I love to travel with the Speedy 40 because, while it qualifies as a 'personal item' according to the airlines, I can pack it like a small piece of luggage. It allows me to travel with three LV purses to alternate during my trip - I just put Eva inside WC Papillon, then sit Paps into Big Lue, and wellah, 3 purses safely onboard with me. And still, I can fit other items in with the 3 purses as well.

I also tend to sport the 40 on bad weather days (it's seen rain, snow & hail). Big Lou keeps my umbrella and necessities handy, will shield other items (I've tucked my MacBook laptop in there in a pinch) and, since it's already started to patina, I don't worry about the vachetta.

I have this bag. i use it as a purse. i havn't used it in a while, but just from the picture and your description makes me want to pull it out again. THANK YOU!!

I can't think of another thread on another forum that I've enjoyed quite this much. From one shutterbug to another, your pictures are lovely! I got my first Canon DSLR about a year and a half ago but toyed around with staying with a point and shoot and getting the Canon G9. I did get a small palm sized p&s for when I carry small handbags. I don't like it but can't justify throwing it out. But now I know what to replace it with! That camera is good...but it's not totally about the camera, it's about the photographer. You have quite the eye and the dialog that makes everything so inviting! What a lovely, enjoyable thread! Thank you!

My favorite aspect of this thread is that your collection isn't preserved, it isn't a museum of leather goods- it's feels like a work & travel pamphlet on the best ways to haul your stuff around the globe. I love seeing people live "with" a Louis Vuitton bag, not toting it around like a precious flower. :coolpics:

Having my LV support my travel habit is a wonderful thing. Of course it's what LV does best ... it truly is the art of travel. The only thing better is adding my GD to the mix.

With her wheeled tiger suitcase being a ride-on, I can traipse through the airport pulling both the Louis and the little one. Those are priceless memories.
