What a great thread! I am considering the Cartier Ballon Bleu two tone 36mm. I am 5'-9" and the size fits nicely on my wrist but I am wondering if the style is changing to smaller, more feminine watches. Does anyone else think so?

Should I get the Tank Louis instead? I love the delicate look but the leather strap doesn't seem as versatile for a busy mama of two young children.

I like yellow gold but rose gold seems to suit my skin tone better.
Yes the ring is the 2 motif BTF Magic to match the earrings . I was going to change my mind as I felt I was a little too old for this style but my DH and DD persuaded me to stick with it
Here is a quick pic. It was launched a couple of months ago but I haven't managed to try one with the carousel in yet .Without the carousel I felt the dial looked a little too large ( 36 mm ) but feel the carousel will draw it in and make it look a little more feminine .
Maybe a vintage pave bracelet may be an option for you if you didn't liked the diamond bangles or you could always try 2 bangles together ?:graucho:

yes, rose gold suits my skin tone better too. that watch is spectacular! yes the carousel will draw it in more, esp with all the diamonds to stare at! hadn't thought about a vintage pave bracelet. would be very nice but thinking a bangle would be better for everyday. i think 2 bangles might be in your future :graucho:

Sorry I'm afraid I don't need extra encouragement ( although much appreciated ) because it's already a case of been there done that got the t-shirt LOL
Seriously though when I tried them on in the boutique I thought I could never wear them together but do all the time ,in fact if it wasn't for the other things on the wish list I would have loved a 3rd ,but how bad would that be ( must show some restraint )
I did try on a rose gold Cartier watch that is still an option so if I don't like the Sertie when I get to try one I may go for it.

This is the Cartier I was able to try. It is a good size without feeling huge and has an automatic movement as opposed to quartz.

wow - how did i miss the 2nd perlee reveal? congrats!!! they are beautiful together, and i'm sure beautiful on you.

that cartier is gorgeous on you! trying them on and time will tell which one you pick in the end. i have been wearing my daytona daily! didn't think i could do oversize 40mm but i'm completely fine with it.

I am hoping I will be fine with the 36mm Rolex . The Cartier whilst gorgeous is the back up at the moment . I have a dear friend who has tiny wrists and she look's fab with her gents Rolex which I thought was 41mm but maybe hers is 40mm as well .
The Perlee bangles with or without diamonds are very addictive . I also like the Cartier Love bracelets stacked but can't sleep in jewellery unfortunately .

i'm sure you can rock a 36mm - it's part of the look, and after your other watches may shrink in comparison (only size wise) (mine did).

i must try on the perlee bangle again. it looks soooo nice in the catalog and on forum members here...btw, the pave cartier love opens and closes (hinge). if i go with the pave love, it will force me to wait on the cosmos earclips i've been wanting forever...

I have a 26 mm and two 29mm rolex so am definitely wanting one larger for a change .
I tried a 31mm and a 34 mm but they were not available in the spec I prefer.
The yellow gold 31mm was really lovely ,it had a diamond bezel and shoulders sadly not possible in rose gold
If not the Sertie then the Cartier will definitely be on my radar .
Didn't know the pave Love opened so it would appear I do need encouragement afterall . Off to look on website now :laugh:
