lol don't worry, I took a friend to the coach store for the first time over the weekend and she just loved stating very loudly and to many SA's that she spent only 4 dollars on her bag and she would never spend over 20 dollars for a bag. 9_9 I was beat red, it's like she was looking to pick a fight with someone. o_O

I looked at a bag at Target once...just looking, mind you...and hubby said "would you actually carry a bag from Target???" So that was the end of that. They do have cute bags, though! He doesn't love going into Coach, either...but his comments are mostly "uh huh" or "whatever."

Men are just so funny. He balks when I want to pay 300 for a bag, but when he wants a 300 dollar coffee grinder, there's no problem. I would use the bag more than he uses that grinder!!!!

Ahhh these all sound like stories of my bf. He rolled his eyes when he gave me choice for valentines day and I choose a Coach purse (my first one!) or performance parts for my new car. His mom and I have been dropping hints for like 6 months now that I wanted a purse.
Then when I start looking at purses he threatens to buy more stuff for his car. I have taken him in the Coach store twice and he grips loudly about how much the "junk holders" cost. The last time we went in he saw the new green they had a pointed and laughed loudly in the middle of the store and says wow they really have y'all brain washed to carry that! UGH!

That's actually hilarious imho! My dh has little to no social grace, lol so I can relate. He hasn't had the chance to embarras me at the Coach store yet (give him time, lol) but he has embarrased me at MAC Cosmetics already-"wow, who shops in here? Clowns?"-not his exact words but close, lol!

the stories i could tell ya'....

don't worry! i don't take it personally when someone comes in making fun of our bags, as long as it's in good nature and not vindictive.

there are ladies that come in with their burberry ( i say this, and that brand because it actually happened ) making a big fuss about the fact that it was made in China (our products) and i'm thinking if it's that big of a deal then why not just walk out of here and stop wasting both of our time?

but honestly burberry and coach has always been at the same level with me...now if she walked in with a chanel bag i'd understand..

there are bags that make me think...what was coach thinking?!

but other companies invoke the same reaction from me..

i mean, what was vuitton thinking with those buttons or circles all around that bag?!

we all have opinions and no designer can get it 100% correct; you'd think by that level they'd know better but fashion is about taking risks

sometimes it's a hit, sometimes it's a miss.

Ahhh...you guys don't know how good it feels right now to NOT have a husband or boyfriend...lol! Even if I had a boyfriend, he wouldn't be able to come into the Coach boutiques. That would be his own decision, too...;)

My DH would soooo do these same things.... if only he really knew what I spent on makeup and bags :sneaky: He knows my bags are expensive and he has seen retail prices on them but he thinks I get great deals on all of my bags :rolleyes:. He did buy me some Bare Minerals makeup but as far as my Mac shadows and makeup he has no idea. He thinks it is crazy to pay high prices for makeup and bags so I just dont tell him. LOL

How funny - my daughter said something very similar when I bought my Legacy Stripe Straw basket. She asked in a disgusted tone of voice why on Earth I would want to go shopping with a picnic basket!
